Siege Defense Efforts - Good Tools not usable

obsiddiaobsiddia Member, NW M9 Playtest Posts: 1,025 Arc User
Tried to make the junk for the defense effort. All my high-end
(adamantine or equivalent) tools are grayed out. It did accept the
one Worn tool I had. So I dropped that hoping it would allow a
better tool. Nope. Is this working as intended? If so.... odd.

Checked several professions. Nope. Same problem.

Did you really think anyone could steal the power of the god of thieves?

The type of tool used is based on the level of the profession. Siege Defense is level 1 and it appears it will always be level 1, thus it will never be able to use anything but Worn tools.

[I still think that's an oversight. Better tools should be able to do lesser jobs.
People who don't have junk tools won't know to buy them back to do this task.]

Another Related Bug: I was looking at using Minor Injury Kits to create the Defense packs,
and it shows that I have 16 "High Quality Minor Injury Kits" to use. No such thing? In any case I don't have
any in my inventory or bank. I've been max level for years, so I have no use in them.

I also have higher quality versions of the other two levels of Injury Kits being shown in the recipe.

That's a UI bug. If you have a high-quality resource for the first item in a recipe, when you switch recipes it will continue to register as if you have high-quality resources, even though none may be available for that particular resource. That's a definite bug.

Masterwork I (Well-Worn) and Forgehammer of Gond tools do qualify as level 1 tools for this Skill. They provide 370/370 or better Prof/Focus permitting the creation of *bonus* Defense Supplies (run of 3 gives 4).
