AD Salvage in mod 15

My question is, if they are phasing out AD salvage for mod 15 should we use up any and all possible AD salvageable items and currencies, or will they be given an equal or better value of something else?

For example our seals and barovian currency to buy gear chests


Also am I correct in assuming that once phased out the only 2 ways to make AD will be to run randoms and the auction house?

No more salvage.. But you can donate them to the coffer.

No, you are not correct. Seals and some campaign currencies will be able to purchase rAD directly. Skirmishes, dungeon chests, and heroic encounters will all award some amount of AD.

Yes, you should salvage any equipment that you have in inventory before the mod goes live. As for seals, I don't recall what the exchange rate is, so it might be better to buy the equipment and salvage now. But, you should get confirmation on that.

Based on past experiences with seal obsolescence, I will turn in all brave seals for salvage. For currencies that can buy other stuff besides salvage, I would not do it.

I am still trying to figure out how to adapt mod 15. Without salvage, will Barovia be dead totally once people get the equipment they want? Will there be any point to do weekly, daily quests anymore? Will doing Barovia quests only mean you are just trying to make key?
