Restarted the game after a long hiatus away, and was wondering if the drops for ID scrolls are nonexistent. I have not seen an ID scroll drop since I started Black Dagger Ruins and i'm 3/4 finished with Neverdeath.

I get plenty every day.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.
I second what @greywynd said. I get a lot every day. In fact, I currently have over 2k unbound scrolls on my warlock and I haven't purchased any from the auction house.
It's rng - absolutely kills some people. When leveling up a character, I rarely have enough to identify every green drop. Usually just end up merchanting most of them.
ID scrolls are never an issue for me, but the Howling Adventurer Pack in the AH is your best method to grab 100 at 5 to 6 K. That is what the pack drops most common, you also get some default items as well. If you are not into mystery boxes, just visit the graveyard where Charthraxis hangs out. I scoop up a lot there waiting on the dragon.

If you pick up everything from the ground (like me) and only use pick up id scroll to id items, that would not be enough.
i.e. # of items picked up > # of id scroll picked up
ID scroll does drop a lot. I have just stashed another stack of 999 pick up id scroll to storage last week.

They are cheep enough on the A.H. The trick here is that you really shouldn't be I.D.'ing every green you get. Only I.D. the stuff you really think you might use. Sell the rest unidentified. You really don't loose much cash and you will be swimming in Gold by the time you hit 70 anyway. Even the relatively small amount of A.D. you can earn pre-Modules will quickly be enough to keep you in Blues, in and around you level, for most of the Story. In fact, a couple of days saving should get you a set of Blue Weapons that level with you. The ones that drop from the Dragons in the main story, I forget what they are called. When you hit 60 (I think, might be 70) you can get the gear from Seals Of The Brave.

I don't sell my grren drops for gold. I use them for freeRP.
Anecdotally we have had this discussion before and it seemed at the time as if the drop rates roughly two greens per ID scroll. I guess it changes over time though
i regret the say that i ask for more ID scrolls, now it is bit too much, and adding 100 scrolls was way over the board. i used on green on the go just clearing my packs since the blue drops isnt that many or too few in between days.
