Bile drenched scale

I completed the tyrant hunt today thinking the bug was patched but i did not get the scale. Is there still a problem or is it merely a chance at it each time?

I'm fairly certain that there is still some RNG involved. I don't know how high the drop chance is supposed to be though, because of the bug.

Every player that participated in the Tyrant hunt (were in a group that killed the Tyrant) before the patch got a Biledrenched scale given to them with the patch, everybody else will have to hope that the famous Cryptic-rng is working in their favor...

The best way to handle this screw-up would have been to make the scale a 100% drop in the Tyrant hunt, but apparently this "fix" was more to the developers liking...

I love it!!! A chance to get a rare spawn, upon killing a chance for a drop, then u spawn a hunt for a chance at that piece, get multiple pieces and fight another guy for a chance at his piece, collect all the pieces and have a chance at getting a scale...... oh if you dont get that chance on your side any of those times u have to start at square one. Or pay over 100 us dollars on zen turn into astral diamonds and buy the lure for that chance and if it fails well sorry spend another 100 bucks and try again. Past few months ive dumped way to much cash into the game and opened a bunch of keys and since i started playing years ago (took small break from xbox and started a ps4 neverwinter grind) never got a legendary..... between ps4 and xbox i probably broke 1000 us dollars on neverwinter to be snubbed by the rng and high il people with good rng who barely spend on the game..... such a mess. I do like the hunts as it gives reason to keep playing the area unlike some *cough* riverdistrict *cough* but it stinks to have to try so hard for a scale. Oh well off to grind hunts i guess ty for info

I did lure as well didn't get scale only did it for scale thought it was a automatic drop,won't do that again way to much grind n exspense...now I'm stuck with part upgraded chain of scales....bad news....getting sick of this played non stop 2 years.

It is annoying but it gives reason to play i guess. I prefer the weekly cap on campaigns vs daily because if you miss a day you can easily access places at the same time as others. The hunts give reason to keep playing the zone i wish it wasnt as hard to get t1 parts though. T2 and 3 i can understand but when it takes forever to get a t1 hunt and u get nothing or a plus 1 ring its a slap in the face. I also think they went backwards with the cult area as i can solo a razor rex but 3 ppl struggle with regular t rex. Omu is way easier than soshenstar.

Indeed. I consider this just plain unfair. If you just participated in a hunt (not as the lure dropper), you were guaranteed a scale - now you not only have to drop the lure, but you only have "a chance" of getting the scale. Considering the expense (in AD or time) of getting the lure, this is extremely frustrating.

Making the scale a 100% guaranteed drop would have been the "fair" thing to do, considering the effort required to get the lure, but well.....I guess that "player frustration" is not high on the list of things the devs worry about.

A shame...

I spent the weekend farming hunts in Omu. As far as the Tyrant hunt goes, the only thing I want out of it is the scale. Currently my Chain of Scales is ranked up that the Bile Drenched scale is the next one I need.

And, as I ran around the map, defeating mob after mob after mob after mob... with very few lures dropping (Magebreakers, Beast Tamers, Mindwhispers) I started thinking of the insurmountable task of acquiring all the lures needed to get to the Tyrant hunt, and also the demoralizing fact that, once I do manage to get everything needed for the Tyrant, there is a slim chance of the scale actually dropping.

I have a Ampoulee from Cradle, waiting on my character to finish the refinement of the scales. And that's supposedly should have been the hardest one to get... so I don't really understand the thinking behind locking a required "refining" resource behind a hunt?

When the Razor-rexes have a guarantee drop, why.. the hardest hunt on the map doesn't have this one guaranteed drop or at the least a high percentage chance of it dropping.
