Strongbox of Astral Diamonds missing from Dragonflight that needs to be fixed

crogus44#8165 crogus44 Member Posts: 11 Arc User
When is the situation with Astral Diamond boxes being put back into the Dragonflight. The AD boxes are essential for all guilds under GH20 to upgrade their structures and such. This needs to be fixed and fixed soon. My guild which is at GH17 is stuck because we don't have the AD to make the necessary upgrades to the structures to make any further progress. Please fix this and fix this soon.. I am already starting to loose members because we can not progress any further until this is fixed.

I wouldn't say they are essential, but they were very nice option. They have been gone quite awhile now, so it is unlikely that they will return soon, if at all. You will need a new strategy, if you truly want to progress. Or, you can stay with the wait and see.

The least expensive option is to ask guild member to craft the AD crates in leadership.

Back in the "dark ages" , when 20 of us could barely manage to kill the red dragon, much less the other 3, our members actually donated AD. You may need to consider asking for a weekly AD donation from your members.

    Anyway, it's up to you.

Honestly, the best way to get AD for your coffer is the leadership crates of AD. I think the removal was intentional to reduce some of the influx of AD that has been made with random queues.

I have 6 characters capable of making roughAD crates, and each one dedicates 1 profession slot to this. There really is very little in professions that I need all 9 slots all the time. I and a few other players in my alliance have been dumping these where needed in our alliance. Even for a fast-progressing guild, you should be able to keep up if enough players will spare 1 profession slot per character and check them every few hours.

Yes, you could ask for donations, but I personally would leave a guild asking for my Astral Diamonds. Asking for a simple profession slot seems much more reasonable. Even 5 or 10 people doing this will add up quickly.

    .

I have one toon that does this (almost a second one) already. As well as making crates of jewelry. Of course it is a grind to get Leadership up to level 23 where you can do it. But it really helps.

Also, like zephyriah says, ask them (don't demand) to contribute. Simply explain that they get benefits for improving the guild.

I agree, asking my guild members to donate their AD to the coffer weekly is a sure fire way to loose members. I have 2 characters that can do the leadership thing and a few of my other members can do it as well but with the cost of AD on the structures it is ridiculous. They seriously need to do something about this... because i have seen a drop in activity across the game because I am even seeing the maxed out guilds hunting for members... it is crazy. They just keep messing up this game to the point where people don't want to play anymore.

With membership to guilds come privileges and responsibilities. Or, at least (in my opinion) it should work that way. One of those responsibilities should be to help the guild improve. As the guild levels up so do the boons, equipment, access to artisan and many other things.

There are many ways to contribute to the guild. Builder, Cleric and Master of Coin quests for Shards of Powet. They can run Heroic encounters for Influence. Donate certain unneeded equipment. And, yes donate Astral Diamonds.

Now, I realize Astral Diamonds is a touchy subject with some (especially with all of nerfing that has been done), but I am also not talking about a huge amount of AD either. And, I am not talking about demanding members donate AD. What I am saying is to simply send out a note stating that the guild is in need of AD and any contributions would be appreciated. If they get upset and leave, simply because they are asked, it should make a person wonder why they were in the guild in the first place.

Personally, I don't think that asking for an occasional donation of 1,000 AD (equivalent of 1 crate) is out of line. Think about it, there are weeklies that give 4,500 AD easy a week. Daily dungeons and skirmishes that can be run.

Now, I will be one many to state that I dislike donation requirements to be in a guild. But, for a guild to be hated on for requesting that its members help improve the guild just seems wrong.
