unable to refine an item

When I try to refine an item (going to orange), I hear the sound, but it doesn't refine. I have all the materials and preservation wards. Can't seem to get it to refine. Anyone experience this or have troubleshooting ideas?

If I have an hour I may try moving everything over to other toons and refining elsewhere. Just haven't really had the time for that yet.

    This is an known issue. There is a current work around. Put all but 1 of the needed Refinement points on it. Close the refinement window. Open it back up, put the last RP on it, and then you should be able to refine it without issue.

    I got it to work, similar to what you said, I did less than the max and did a small refine, rather than max. After that I could do the full refine. Sounds like a rounding error.
