Hello, It's is NOT about ability of holding trophies. It's about RNG change due to holding a trophy. This thread has been moved out of bug report topic. Please consider that the topic is here loot being affected.
The problem: RNG is being affected by holding a trophy in inventory. It means, that there are mechanics that are affecting RNG working, which is not something common in neverwinter. Basicly we got with mod 12 an update, which welcomes in Neverwinter mechanics something that may change loot table because of items that may be hold by a player. There is no guarantee that it's working as it should be nor that there are none or will be none problems caused by RNG modification.
Detailed info: There is a difference between not being able to hold more than one of a type trophy in inventory and not being able to drop one. If you have, for example, a venomtail poison in your inventory, the chance for not dropping any other trophy from venomtails is very big. It also affects T-rex and any other hunts but I focused data - gathering on T-rex and Venomtails hunts. Even if the system is designed to not drop a second trophy if you already have one - it also does not work.
T-rex Hunts are major "evidence" here - if you hold a fang trophy in inventory the loot table goes crazy - you may or may not drop a fang. It also affect any other drop-types, for eg. picking up trophies during a fight (before killing second spawned rare hunts) will affect player's loot table too. Pressed "X" after killing bigpincer? Well, bad news for you, no second tropies drop for you.
Data: T-Rex hunts If you have no t-rex fang in your inventory, after killing Tyranosaurus Rex, you will get a fang drop always. If you have t-rex fang in your inventory another fangs will not drop regulary. I've made 25 t-rex hunts with a fang in my inventory. Rex number 14 dropped another fang. Other T-Rexses didn't drop the fang. Naturaly I was not able to pick it up.
Venomtails hunts If you have no venomtail poison in your inventory, with my RNG, its aprx 25 venomtails groups needed to be killed to drop a poison. If you have venomtail poison in your inventory, with my RNG, it took me 133 venomtails groups to drop another venomtail poison. Naturaly I was not able to pick it up.
Conclusions The drop system is being affected by holding an unique item in inventory. That is not something I would personaly consider as a "safe solution". If you remember - orginaly T-rex drop rate wasn't working - fangs were not dropping for everyone. It got fixed, but it shown another thing - the drop is being affected by third-party mechanics (apart from RNG).
Of course, this issue affect players withour VIP 6 rank in the first place BUT as each rare hunt group may drop two trophies - I think everyone may feel it, sometimes by mistake, sometimes by lack of knowledge.
I think that is why we may see many complaints on both RNG on hunts and that is also why the double trophy drop is considered usually as a myth.
Anyone can check it under 20 minutes - take a fang in your inventory and hunt T-Rex. Probably you will not see another fang drop.

What source? There is no specific source. It is the way the game is set up to handle uniques.
The lures and trophy are designed to be unique items. It has always been that you can only have one of each unique item in inventory. To get it to work the way most of us want it to, they need to remove the unique flag on those items. Until then, keep mailing those items to yourself.
This information is essential, it basicly means, that RNG is modified by flags in inventory. Im playing this game a year and I had no idea, that the drop rate is affected by inventory flags. And I literally read anything possible about the game or it's mechanics. You are basicly the only one source of this information in internet. Also: so why this does not affect T1 n T2 hunts?

It doesn't affect the RNG. It flat out cannot drop if you have one, RNG does not apply. Your chance to get one is set to Zero in the loot table. If you do not have one, then RNG determines if one should drop.
It's the same as in the River district (and other cases) if you have one of the Demi-god stones in your inventory, you cannot get another. If you have any unique in your inventory and complete a task where it could be a possible drop, it is not included in the loot table. It has nothing to do with RNG.
Anyway, I'm done with this thread, I've given you the best information I have and I'm not going to look for more sources. Basically the best place for information of this type are the PC and preview forums.

Go rex farm, take a fang to your inventory, you should see another fang drop within 20 rexses killed. If it would be, as you said, 0 chance for drop - I would not investigate it or make any thread reporting it's as a bug. I stated very clearly in my first post, that it's neither 0 drop with a trophy nor normaly dropping with a trophy. It can mean IMO only one thing - it affects RNG. It's why whole thread got created.

We never have them in our inventory as we mail them off immediately and they are stored on alts, in the mail, the bank or the guild bank - and still it is easily 133+ dead venom tails to get a drop. The RNG is terrible, the issue isn't if you have one in your inventory or not, it's that the drop rate is that bad. I NEVER have one in my inventory because I am not the group's lure maker. As soon as I get one I mail it - it still takes 3+hours of farming to get a single one.

I don't think you have read what I wrote. IT IS NOT ABOUT RNG. Also - I personally will disagree on RNG being bad - if you are patient and spend time, you are able to farm 1 - 2 yklwas per week. Nor venomtails nor any other drop is being bad. Yes, that's true that you can hunt 3 hours with no drop, but in a scale of a week hunting that doesn't happen often, and my calculations say it's aprox 1 drop per 25 venomtails groups. Also I don't believe there are many players which saw no venom drop from 133+ venom groups. To get those amount of spawns with no drop I needed 11 hours of constant hunting scorpions WITH A POISON IN INVENTORY .

Please notice that I'm writing about mechanics, that are AFFECTING RNG when you have a trophy in inventory. This means that devs introduced mechanics, which affects drops. Please consider that any mechanics affecting RNG are very hard to identify and near impossible to prove. We just saw Heart of the Blue Dragon into the Soul Sight Crystal change on pc mod12b update. What is a warranty, that there are no other (or there will be none) items that are affecting RNG? If a trophy affects RNG, any other item MAY do same.
I have a guild member that farmed venomtails for 16 hours straight with not one in her inventory - zero drops. So don't tell me that the RNG is not bad.
I'm not discounting that it could be broken as well, I'm just saying that the RNG is HAMSTER to begin with so it's hard to tell what's broken in this game

I get that. Anyways this thread isn't about RNG, it's about RNG being obviously affected by holding a trophy .

This thread disappeared for last two weeks, now appeared in PC forums. How did it happen? And why? It's PS4 feedback, I have no idea if RNG is being affected on PC too.
