Companions do not attack on boss fights!!!!

Okay so, I have a Black Death Scorpion and also a Tomb Spider which I pop out from time to time to fight by my side. My problem is that in some boss fights when it is a face off with one boss, my companion just stops attacking. It just stands around not doing anything at all and so because of this I do not get ANY bonus stats from my x3 bonding stones at all. I do not know how many companions have this issue but it probably is more than just these two. It is freaking annoying not getting much needed damage boost to kill things faster in a boss fight simply because your companion can't do a simple thing but spam their attacks.

I hope you guys fix this QUICKLY.
