Edit: I was wrong with my assumptions here. The "Displace Fate" boon, rather than loadouts, was the cause of my issue. Still, it is a bug worthy of exposure.
Short and Sweet:
1. I had a Bloodtheft Enchantment equipped on my armor. 2. I replaced said Bloodtheft Enchantment with a Lesser Soulforged Enchantment. 3. The effects for both Bloodtheft and Soulforged were active at the same time. 4. Completely removing any and all Armor Enchantments does not remove the Bloodtheft Effect, it persists with or without the enchanment. 5. This issue seems to only be affecting one of my two available loadouts at the moment. One loadout can wear the same gear without the bug, while the other loadout has the bug while wearing the armor. 6. The bug persists while wearing Fashion. 7. Completely unequipping all gear and re-equipping does not fix the issue. 8. I have seen other players with similar dual-effect bugs. 9. The issue began the day Shroud of Souls dropped on Xbox. 10. If you need more information let me know.
I have since purchased a third loadout slot and the issue persists into this new one. However, the "original" pre-11b loadout is still unaffected. On my second and third loadouts, I can unequip a chestpiece, then equip an entirely different chestpiece and still have the enchantment effect present even without any enchantment equipped. My theory is that when loadouts were released, a copy was made of the original character for the purposes of loadouts, copying EVERYTHING including enchant effects. As such, the "original" loadout is free to move between effects but every subsequent loadout functions off of this "copy" which produces the visual bug. I can provide a video to demonstrate the issue if need be.
I made a clip demonstrating the issue. I no longer have access to another enchantment (they are expensive) to show the double layering effect but the main issue is still seen here. Weapon enchantments are not affected from my testing.
Edit: The Hellbringer Fury loadout is my "original" pre-11b loadout. The two others are copies. While I don't have a separate enchantment to show double layering, you can see in the other two loadouts that when the bloodtheft enchantment is slotted the red effect is intensified, as if there are two bloodtheft enchantments layered on top of one another.
I'm almost entirely certain what you're seeing is a different bug entirely.
If you have the Maze Engine boon "Displace Fate" it gives you the bloodtheft visual, regardless of having any enchantment slotted.
It's been this way for well over a year now, and has made an otherwise useful defensive boon awful because it ruins your outfits.
I just checked the two affected loadouts and yes they both have that boon active. Thank you! It stinks but at least I have peace of mind now. Silly that a boon would cause an effect like that. It's just a coincidence that I was also using bloodtheft so that caused the confusion. I'll respec out of that boon when they hand out the next round of free respecs. I will update the title of this thread to reflect this.
