Ok what gives? Since last week's maintenance I have experienced terrible lag, as in the game is unplayable at times. I'm on a 50mb fiber line and hardwired to the PS4 and other games run fine.
Protectors enclave is seriously fbar right now for me....I feel like a ping pong ball trying to do anything. So for the moment I have just parked all my characters and will just invoke daily until its either fixed or rights itself.
Anyone else?

I usually log off for awhile and get back on.
It's easier to do that then getting frustrated over the lag.
only when pings go over 500ms do i face trouble. so the theory that pings and wired over wireless is not the deal maker or breaker.
The wired one cannot do eDemo or Tiamat without rubberbanding and rubber bands in most big maps with large number of people , even sucks in PvP Domination 5V5. Only place it is ok is solo dungeons and smaller maps. The wireless has no issues other than a recent one where the IP was banned on PSN, But that's another story.
I have tested tried various things and i suspect that the bottlenecks may be one of these things.
Suspects.
1. The ability to simultaneously handle multiple data inbound and outgoing and max number of connections. When it exceeds the lower threshold data starts queueing Bingo Lagggggg.
2. The upload bandwidth. When there are large number of packets being sent to multiple destinations for small changes it adds up and if your upload bandwidth is lets say 512kbps well lets say it may not be able to handle it.
The wired is fine in most other shooter games though big maps multiple enemies like battlefield 4 and Battlefield 1.
So i think it's just how data is handled and the bottlenecks.
The pings are to servers in US east or west coast.
I think it's a combination of one or both of these and lower pings come into play after that. They do matter though for quick response. I prefer the 300ms ping to the 100 ms ping connection go figure.

Another cause could be party chat, live streaming or apps running in the background that haven't been closed. Finally, as it was mentioned above, bottlenecked internet, throttling from ISP (Time Warner is an ISP involved in a lawsuit for throttling, google it) or simply just needing to update modem/router firmware. Also, if you've recently had a Heavy rain, snow or its extremely hot the drop outside could be effected or damaged. Hanging or buried. You could just reset your modem/router and see if the issue still exist. Or, you could try running a tracert to see where the drop in signal is.
