Just yesterday I saw something like "4k TR HDPS Bondings (blah blah blah) LF MSWA...I'm spending quite a bit of my game time in SOMM, and it's getting more and more amusing to watch
I have a certain amount of sympathy for TRs, because, well besides the fact I play one, a lot of times MSVA runs won't take them just because they are TRs. So, although I wouldn't do that myself, I can kinda understand why a TR might feel it necessary to billboard his gear score in the hopes that someone might take him.
One of the most BIASed things I heard ingame was a 4.2k TR asking another TR (3.5k ish PVP) for a spot in the mSVA group he was building and the other TR told him, 'sorry no TR'.
BTW it was an alliance run and we are in the same alliance. I did not get the TRs name, but AFAIK he was even in the same guild as the 2nd TR.
I think you make a good point, in that the idea the TRs are poor in MSVA is something that even TRs think (especially PVP TRs). I have personally made successful MSVA runs with as many as 5 TRs. TRs can be very effective PVE DPSers. Throw into that the ability to debuff using courage breaker, and buff damage using Wicked Reminder, and they can more than pull their weight in MSVA.

Bad TR dps is a self fulfilling prophecy. Ppl claim, that TRs are good in PvP and bad in PvE, so 90% are PvP specced. If you see one of them in PvE you say, 'yea, bad dps'. In the last year I have seen a few BIS or near BIS PvE TRs and they did hold their ground.
