Feedback to Oathbound Paladin Mod 10.5

Here are some things that I think need a rework after the release of Mod 10.5:

1.Vow of Enmity: it is completely broken/useless now... it gets removed when you get stunned and sometimes you cant even recast it because its greyed out. I get the idea behind the rework but it just made everything worse. Yeah great we get the intended 50% more damage now but if you have to recast it every time cause it gets removed, then its really not worth to use it anymore.

Suggestion:
  1. Make it so it cant get removed after you get stunned etc.
  2. Or re-roll it back to how it was and just fix it so we get the intended 50% damage. I think it was fine as it was cause you mostly used it for boss fights anyway and not for more.
2. Sacred Weapon: It is actually useful now with the 50% damage buff but i really don't like the casting animation. Its way to long and if you cast your next Encounter/Daily etc. to fast it gets interrupted to easily.

Suggestion:
  1. 1. Reduce the Animation of the Skill
  2. 2. And/or make it so that you can move while you cast it like it is for Into the Fray
3. Bane: It would be great if this power would generate a small amount of Action Points per use.

Suggestion:
~1-2% Action Points per use.

4. Binding Oath: For me as a 4k OP its really not a problem that this skill got "nerfed". BUT there are a lot of >3k OP's out there which have to rely on this skill for their survival.

Suggestion:
Make it so it gives ~150% of your life as a shield

This is all for now. If i notice something else i will post it here. I hope this will be noticed by a Developer. @strumslinger pitch this to your higher-ups please ;).

Yep, I dont understand, how crippled Vow of enmity passed through internal testing (if there is such thing).
    Svatá Prdelka
    game - Human/real life - ???
    OP 18k+ Devotion/Justice - Light

I completely agree with SLapdaniel. Vow is much worse than before, I find it to be practically unusable. BO was never part of my major play, but it seems to be fairly useless for 3k+ and too punishing for 3k- players. Sacred Weapon Animation makes it difficult to use it w/o getting interrupted regularly or as the op mentioned you hit another power too quickly.

I also mentioned this in another ignored thread, but with such a vast amount of changes where was the free respec token?

agree 100%. Vow also gets removed if ur enemy enters stealth btw. its broke bad. any cc that hits u, and its removed, and then your forced to wait the cooldown before the recast. in pvp if u use this skill, u will never get to really have an up time with it because the amount of cc/stealth in game is crazy.

The Paladin in 10.5 can tank Orcus and with good party FBI and above provided the paladin himself is well geared. But the class is also inferior to the other tank class in every way. The Paladin also "enjoys" a large number of long time broken abilities notably the class defining SHIFT mechanic is completely unreliable with its buggy delayed activation. A comprehensive list of broken things has been compiled several times by several players and posted all over these forums with a lengthy discussion called "Official Feedback Thread: Oathbound Paladin Changes (Sea of Moving Ice)" on preview which @asterdahl himself opened and abandoned.

The devs just drop some changes and move away without a second thought.

I've already mentioned how HAMSTER is is that a GF can simply toggle his or her 50% damage sharing on and as long as they don't die or get stunned it's on 100% of the time. No stats needed at all. In my opinion with this additional nerf to DP, since the original intention was an "oh HAMSTER" button and is no longer the intention the time should be boosted back up some. Not 20 sec but I would say at least 12 and maybe even 15 seconds. If you put the stats in it should be perfectly fine to allow us to perma run a daily that does what the GF can do for free.

After some time on my low level paladin, I can still tank most things, just in complete different rotations and its a bit more difficult for sure. Binding oath now is horrible for a low level paladin, in fact, not sure why anyone would use it at all, it just ends up killing you. The rework of binding oath was justified, however the end result isnt.. better balance in the skill shouldve been thought out. I know they are trying to rework all immunity features, but they want from a super uber skill to one that basically kills you.

I was a vow supporter before, as many paladins didnt even use it, but I used it alot on bosses with high level dps groups, and in teh guild im in, you could be running with massive amount of dps.. one vow always kept orcus or the such on you. I hate it now.. wont even use it.

I cant comment on anything past orcus though.. my paladin is too low and I dont think after these changes I will continue to worry to advance it.

Would it be possible to make the protect animation ( mechanic) react faster?
As it is now it is very hard to finish a simple at-will attack and get the protection up in time.

And, if I had it my way, Sacred Weapon would be an instant cast as was the TR's "impossible to catch" before the nerf.

To be honest I could live with Vow the way it is, if they:
    1) would fix the shift mechanic, if you get your circle up then Vow persists through CC.
    2) fix the cast, I have to literally stand still to get it to stick, the cooldown triggers and the target is not marked.
    3) It seems now (at least to me) that I "lock on" to my vow target, they need to change this back to how it was before.
If they would fix those issues, then I could live with it.
