relic boots

Do the relic boots only drop from great successes? I'm trying to get the relic boots for my cleric but I'm keep failing to get a great success. I have completed already over a hundred encounters, no boots or artifacts so far but I've got more than 50 lanolins.

    I wish I could help you. However, I got the boots to drop in Zerg runs on major HEs in Bryn Shander on my three characters. I only looked at the rewards at the end of the run and didn't take note of whether I had got 'Great Success' or just ' Encounter Completed' for each of them. It did take varying numbers of runs for each character. My HR got his first set after about two and a half hours of HEs while my SW hit a set in the second reward I opened. This is one of the best/worst examples of NW RNG in the game at the moment.

    I still need 8 more lanolin to restore the final set of boots picked up by my SW. However, I'm burned out on HEs so it is taking a very long time to get them. They do drop in regular HEs in Lonelywood, so I've been doing a couple of those every few days but they also suffer from NW RNG. Good luck with your hunt :)

    oh ok thx. I didn't know they also drop from the small encounters. What about the boots? Do they also drop from the small ones?
    Been trying to get any relic boots for my sw and dc. I'm running every day for countless hours but I get nothing but lanolins.

    As far as I know, the boots only drop from the major HEs in Bryn Shander. Lanolin drops from major and small HEs in Lonelywood. I have also had it drop in major HEs in Bryn Shander. I have only done a handful of small HEs in Bryn Shander and Cold Run and never had lanolin drop in either, just the odd relic. Having never run any of the major HEs in Cold Run, I cannot say what you get from them.

    Oh, probably worth knowing that you can get 'Animal Fat' to drop from the major HEs in Lonelywood. Never had any drop in any other HEs.

    Ok, thx. Maybe that's the reason why I haven't gotten any boots yet, I only farmed in Lonelywood.
