Curious about battle fury

Hello until now i was using restoring stike because it does good damage and helps keep me alive, but I see guides that use Battle Fury and once in awhile people in my group sometimes tell me to use it. So is Battle Fury really that much better to use then restoring strike?

if you're running the only feat path that viable, (you should be), and therefore using the feat, yes. With the feat even with HAMSTER for recovery it's another 12% or so DPS at rank 4.

Honestly if you were using restoring strike it sounds like you flat out need major build advice, the GWF is useful in groups and not awful to solo in about 3 specific setups, all of which vary only in the last power and/or optional feat choices.

Why don't you screenshot your powers bar and your feats screen for us and we can go from there.

I might do that later when I get on but I was the top dps in all group content I did almost every single time. Like every dungeon i usually did, demogorgon and tiamat. I usually even did more damage then people with way higher gear score, even if they were GWF's to. So thats why I didn't understand why people said to use battle fury since I was out dpsing everyone who was.

Are you basing this on the paingiver achievement at the end or actual DPS parses with ATC as Paingiver counts a lot of stuff as damage that actually isn;t. I run ATC and i reguarly see people finish top of the paingiver list that actually had utter trash DPS in reality. If it's ATC logs i'd love to see some screenshots of the breakdown to see how much DPS restoring is doing relative to the rest of your skills.

Teamates get buff to their stamina refil only to make it more clear.

I've been thinking about using this for months instead of restoring strike. I use and love it btw. I have no trouble building up determination with the rotation of RS, HD, one WMS, IBS. I am normally paingiver which is questionable but have verified with ACT on more than one occasion. I think I'm going to take out RS and put in Battle Fury (with the feat) and see how it works. I know without it my damage dropped quite a bit. we'll see with it...

How long does Battle Fury last??? "A short time" +1s per point spent above 1 doesn't tell me much. I've been toying with it instead of DS, though I haven't feated it--yet.

I'm more interested in how it does in PVP, PVE isn't a problem for me.

I do not typically use battle fury minus encounters like dwarven god, edemo where running around is of help. Normally my set up is daring shout(if no gf marking) if a gf is marking I use roar for the determination.

BF last about 7 seconds and the effectiveness last slightly longer at higher level

Depend, if you are IV, restoring is better option for bosses (it can crit nicely) imo. For SM BF (nice combo with slam feat) or DS (if want use crescendo).
