Which Class Best Fits My Playstyle?

So I'm fairly new to neverwinter but I understand most aspects of the game and I wanted other people's opinion that know the game very well, on what class I should play and how I should play that class even though I know how I'll probably play the class. I'm usually playing as a BattleMage with some support abilities in RPGs

A build guide, or advice would appreciated as well. Below is just a more in-depth explanation of how I like to play to give you a better understanding.

So I'm usually a Battlemage/Support/Healer character in most RPGs. In the Mass Effect series I went Infiltrator which is my favorite class in that game but I was always best at Adept, loved the combos and detonations, liked being challenge to understand mechanics. But in more traditional RPG games like Neverwinter, in Dragon Age I usually played the dual wIeld BattleMage in the first one, Blood Mage in the second, and Rift Mage in Inquistion because I liked the CC, damage, and mana regen. The knight-enchanter which was a close combat magic sword and staff wielding character was my favorite but it felt OP. In Allods Online I usually went Shaman for DPS and heals. WoW I usually went Shaman in that as well, Fiesta Online I went Cleric because I loved the healing in that game, Skyrim I went BattleMage with healing spells. I usually as a Mage prefer to be inside the fight dealing damage, keeping myself alive, and wandering off if our archers or casters get attacked, if the game doesn't allow melee as a Mage then I usually went a Caster that was DPS/Heals or High DPS. But in general I usually try to be a BattleMage so I can more of Off-Tank and DPS support like character. So like a character that can Deal or effective damage mainly, but also can support the weaker teammates as well.

You'd want to decide between being a Master of flame control wizard spec for the (bottom) renegare tree or a devoted cleric specced for the bottom tree as well:

You'll support your team mates by increasing their damage and healing them.

Overall, the cleric is better at buffing and healing, however you may feel the contro wizard comfortable to play with. Keep in mind that when taking renegade feats, your dps won't be that good compared with that of the middle tree that however doesn't buff the team.

Thats a tough question. Part of it depends on how long you want to play this game. You want a battle mage that stands in the combat does good damage, offers heals and maybe some tanking. Scourge Warlock mod 5-6, Soulbinder temptation, hands down. I scored top in heals, 2-3 in dps and damage taken. But they changed mechanics and the class was near impossible to solo with. Switched to soulbinder damnation, now top in dps, but I have to jump around outside of combat to survive. Plenty of self heals if you take minor damage, but ur to squishy to tank anymore. With lifesteal you used to be able to stand in combat, cast blades and heal through everything. I might be able to do this again with my better gear, but mobs have a much better chance to one shot you so I dont tempt it. You could probably build a temp lock again, but I think it would either be costly to gear, and or, very hard to play. So another part is what are you willing to sacrifice to play your playstyle.

Clerics offer superb heals, and plenty of damage buffing. Great armor letting you stand there and take damage. There is a build to pump out damage, but Im still missing some pieces on mine to make it work great.

Control wizards are a good choice, Controling spells to let you stand in combat. One build offers heals, but they are random and you sacrifice some power to go that way. Still squishy like the warlock, but the control effects help you survive.

The ranger is a great control that pumps out damage, again one path offers some support. Not magic animations, but play style like them.

The paladin im not exactly familiar with, but they def stand in the combat, casting spells like bane to boost damage, the protector is a tank, but the devotion is a healer.

I dont think the guardian fighter, great weapon fighter or trickster rouge are for you. But there may always be a way to play them thats not used that often. Might not be viable, or may be uber expensive to build, but this game offers a decent amount of ways to build each class. If anyone has figured out how to build a healing trickster send me the specs please.

If its going to be your first long term character you would probably be best going for a Devoted Cleric that buffs and heals as this class is more desirable when it comes to end game content and thus you will get more dungeon runs and gain more knowledge and items to help any character you decide to do after.
