The rest are a chance to drop. And yes the whole quest line needs a revamp, 100 is ridiculous these days when the stuff isn;t even endgame gear.
Paingiver is not an acurratte or Useful measure of your actual sustained damage output, (i.e DPS), in various ways it lies. For a true idea use ACT. Link below:
It is endgame gear though. Gl waiting for devs to revamp it. Y can either farm cornered by crabs or buy the water wand from tbar store/ah (gives any heroic 100% drop chance for 30 min, has 3 charges) and do smaller encounters. Or just buy weapon choice pack from ah - gives epic versions of any elemental set
No it's not. It's been replaced by the twisted weapons and i assume the next expansion will have yet another tier beyond that. The truth is if you can get the rest of your build up to par you can just skip it entirely now. It's a purely optional upgrade over what leveling to 70 allready gives you.

Wands have 4 charges.
The Elemental sets are on par with the Twisted set. Just different set power.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.
But you need to look at buying it before Mod 10 drops as the price will probably go up after that. It only drops from the current lockbox which is being replaced with the Runic Lockbox next week. This will contain the Twisted Weapon Set (though it is not yet 100% certain that it will contain both parts in a single box).

As @greywynd has said, the Elemental Weapons are endgame gear. They have the same stats as the Twisted Sets. The difference is the set bonus. The most common Elemental Set is the Water one which is a great boost to survivability. The Twisted Set boosts Power or Defense depending on how you use it.
It is possible I've missed it but so far there doesn't appear to be any new weapon sets in Mod 10, just new armour/wearable gear. So the Twisted and Elemental sets are still the ones to get.

It depends on your class and what you want to do with your class. e.g. as a bubble OP, one would want the Fire one instead of Twisted one. For PVP, one may prefer Water one over Twisted one.

Gear only lasts for so long, eventually there's a new set or tier. Ask the folks that spent a fortune crafting Fallen Dragon or Fabled Fomorian weapons before they released the artifact ones. The difficult part, as mentioned previously, is finding what works for you. Don't get too attached to it though, it's not going to be the best forever...

It appears you don't know why you want it, the simple answer is no.

I swear i saw different damage number between elemental and twisted sets. Note to self late night gaming sessions are not great idea's for the brain.
That said it's still ridiculous even then. In the time it takes to do 100 crab runs you can do the same or likely more Thorne of the Dwarven Gods runs and get a full set of Elemental gear out of it. Plus a bunch of AD and salvage.

Twisted is great for fast DPS because of its set bonus. For the class that does rapid at-will such as GWF and TR, you want Twisted. Elemental is good for other purpose because of its set bonus. For the class that needs daily such as bubble OP, you want fire for fast AP refill.

Yeah generally my thought was that twisted's power boost on hit makes it superior for anyone who needs DPS or HPS more than they need durability. As noted i'd just got it into my head it had a slight weapon damage edge too.
And don't even talk to me about farming fire, there are zero runs on the guaranteed drop for that, it's grinding the 5 mans at crummy drop rates or go home.

I won't farm for fire neither. I farmed that once in the beginning but for the wrong toon. These days, I will just get a Elemental Artifact Weapon Choice pack. Fortunately, I got one from lockbox for my OP. I will open it when 2xRP comes.
