Battle Fury - Actual numbers

carl103carl103 Member Posts: 209 Arc User
I noticed in a post or two here there seems to be a lack of clarity on exactly how much extra damage battle fury adds so i went and did a few basic tests, these numbers are based purely on tooltips, but i did check it twice, once with all my gear, a second time after striping down to just a ceremonial weapons bought for a few hundred AD off the AH.

The result. BF is a 25% boost at rank 4. This is a Multiplicative boost, so you can have a 200% power bonus and it will still increase your damage by 25% of the power buffed value.

Hope some people find this helpful :).

Never hurts to test things! Thank for the confirmation. I never, ever, never believe tooltips.

Yeah talking of that, sat down to do a spreadsheet and discovered somthing a little unfortunate...

The feat that reduces Battle Fury cooldown DOES NOT reduce it by the claimed 50%, i'm not sure how much reduction it does give but it's not 50%. The problem is the best i've been able to confirm is that it's not 50%, but since i don;t know what the base cooldown of battle fury is without the feat and can't justify the 110k AD to respec i can't figure out what it actually IS. Does anyone have a free respec lying around? Alternatively, since the listed tooltip on the cooldown is accurate as far as i can tell, if someone has a free character slot lying around, a fresh GWF could view the power details without unlocking it and note their cooldown reduction %, (remember you'll get some from ability scores at least so you'll allways have some reduction).

Even with that stripping my gear off results in two different outputs, (for backworked base cooldown), though they're closer. That said my brain found itself and got itself back in my skull and i've had the smart idea of getting on the preview server. Still downloading atm, but i can get numbers from there myself at no cost, so yay. Will update as soon as i have it worked out.

Ok got on the preview shard figured it out, Metalldjt is actually right, whats happening is that the game has some seriously funky rounding code, it's pretty random about rounding up or down basically, so it was throwing all my math off as the actual CD listed as 12.4 on my screen in one setup is closer to 12.5 in reality.

P.S additional point, BF has a base CD of 20 seconds, not the 22 the wiki lists.
