Transmutation: Tranmuting a transmuted item onto another item? What happens?

jyotaijyotai Member Posts: 44 Arc User
So imagine this situation:

3 items: A, B, and C.

I transmute B to look like A. So now I have Ba. A was destroyed if I read the wiki right.
I now transmute C, to look like Ba.

What does C look like? Does it look like A used to, or like the original B used to look?

In other words, can I keep passing the same look around, as I upgrade some gear slot? Or do I never want to transmute anything until I am 'as done as I ever plan to get' with upgrades?

C takes A but sometimes the color of B

Problem comes when B is an artefact and you would like its refinement points.

    (bad english.)

i tested it couple days ago because i was curious too.

if you transmute your "c" into "ba" it will be look like the original "a" item.

so yes you can keep passing the same look around. but if you want to test it for yourself just buy 3 cheap different items from ah :)

So I can keep the looks I want, but some color and things might go a little off. Thanks and good to know. It means I can start transmuting when I start to find looks I want to keep hold of (Like some of the costumes from the current annual event).
