The title tells everything. Despite my good gaming spec I still have heavy lag spike, low fps(10-25 including frozen). I cant even move in tiamat. Recently I saw some video of ppl doing tiamat with like 45 - 60fps which is unreal for me. How did ppl get such a lag free gameplay and good fps? I have read many sources but all ppl say was only to turn of the on demand patch which i already done and got no better result. This is my spec:
I got like 75 FPS averagely when playing The Witcher 3(ultra settings) with this setup. I just dont get it... Hope u pros can give me some suggestions. Thank you.
This is Spartan bae.

Considering that you get good FPS on other games I have a suspicion that your lag is not because of your hardware but the connection between you and the servers.
My bet would be the video was not in a prime-time or on a older version where less items/skills interacted with each other. there is something new procing each patch (insignias/new set with maze engine).
Personal opinion: Truth is the game is badly optimized for large player gatherings (more than 5).
Eventually you will get the comments that your a) Internet provider b) PC Setup c) Settings are bad - ignore them.
There are plenty of newer games running on higher settings with more FPS than NW the bad network/stacks code here hates Massive player gatherings - or to say it more softly, the game is not optimized for NVIDIA nor ATI or Intel cards nor for Intel or AMD CPUs .
That said you can play with the CPU/GPU Slider and try to hit some level of good fps / not looking like playing TIE-Fighter back in the 90's.
Please fix Zhentarim Warlock companion's skill "Arcane Warping" to the originally intended "Arcane Boost" zhentarim-warlock-companion

XD like really, I slided the sliders to minimum and still laggin. The video I was talking was taken recently, 25dcs doing Tiamat. I got the link from @Thefabricant.
you have a 100MBit connection all the way to the server? That seems unlikely. Not impossible, just very unlikely. Do a tracert to the server and you'll see the true values.
Other than that: - first off: There's a difference between lag and FPS issues. Try and figure out which of the two is your real issue. Here's a good read for you on the subject. - As already stated, the game is poorly optimized. CPU (probably not the issue in your case) and HDD speed are way more important than your GPU. I would like to note that your GPU series is known for having heating issues. Check temperature and processor speed/capacity to make sure it's actually processing everything correctly. I don't know what else you have in that tower, but considering your GPU alone uses at least 275W, power supply might be an issue in this and worth looking into.
My PSU is like 64 Celsius when running NW which is pretty ok. My I got this PSU due a recommendation I got from the store I purchased the GPU. HDD might be the one I guess, but not sure, I have a 500GB with the speed of 7200RPM
Something else i noticed, at least for me the effect of getting from 480p to 1080p resolution is slowing the game down more than it is usually the case in other games (may be my PC's issue thou) - was the video 1080p or lower, and are you using the same resolution or something way higher.
Please fix Zhentarim Warlock companion's skill "Arcane Warping" to the originally intended "Arcane Boost" zhentarim-warlock-companion
@magenubbie I done the tracert thing before tho, the result seemed pretty bad, i didnt know how to fix. I posted my spec just so ppl would skip the ''your graphic might be the problem''. I think I have problems connecting to the NW server.

Hah! not 4k obviously, Im running as 720p often (I run as window mode and resize to even smaller resolution sometimes)
I have been running this and other games on my micro computer.

Up until last Spring of 2015, I was getting 30 FPS, which as you know is pretty good from those specs. I do more gaming on my PS3 so getting a high end gaming PC is not my priority. First thing they did to cause issues was to invite all XB1 into the game. Next they got some nerd P.Oed at them and he caused DDoS attacks. Guess what people found out? The nerd in question is XB1 player. They are doing maintenance on the network, but all the Cryptic games (Champions Online, Star Trek Online, and Neverwinter D&D) are all hosted on the same machine. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised to see plumes of smoke from the server room.
Now I notice they are expanding into Windows 10. I thought the game already runs on Windows 10? More changes ultimately means more bugs and glitches. I haven't played the game since March, I think? I don't have any plans to get on this summer because it is summer. When I am not working, I want to be outside enjoying the summer fun.
Good luck with the settings! Have fun.

You have a good rig but this game is problematic, my friends with gaming rigs and ample bandwidth to handle any mmo game on the market tested neverwinter and yeah fps and lag problems were there the minute they started playing. I have a low grade PC and i wanted to see what a good gaming rig can do.
Many others on the forums have same kinda issues with gaming performance, this game is a true succubus for CPU power
Also know of people that play with mediocre PCs and the game runs fine and smooth.

I believe this is a big part of the problem. This game is nearly three years old. When it first came out, there were only 5-man dungeons. When ToD came arrived with the dragon heralds and that is when I started seeing graphics issues during dragon runs.
After that, came render issues in Protectors Enclave. I used to wait minutes for items in my inventory or bank to get fully rendered before I learned of the "escape key" trick to force rendering. Still there were times I had to furiously pound the escape key many times to see my inventory. Now I have VIP so I can access mail and bank from anywhere but PE. Just stay away from populated areas.
One problem I have now is in Mantol-Derith where I spend a considerable time pounding the escape key. It is so dumb that I can see my inventory/bank/mail one moment, and then someone walks by me and a good amount of my view seem to get invalided and go black. And I have to furiously pound the escape key again to see stuff. I can't wait for Maze Engine to be done so I don't have to go back there.
I have top-tier PC hardware and FIOS, so don't think the problem is there. Its the outdated graphics engine.
My only tip is get used to pounding the escape key and avoid crowed areas, or face the wall if you have to be in a crowded area.
Recently I saw some video of ppl doing tiamat with like 45 - 60fps which is unreal for me. How did ppl get such a lag free gameplay and good fps?
Some skills do cause the server to work harder and increase lag. Could be the video was of a guild run where the players are more disciplined in avoiding the problem skills. Or maybe the server they were on was not loaded at that time.

First, that image only shows your connection to your router. Nothing more. So that's not worth much. As for the temperature, I was referring to your GPU, but at least we can rule out the lack of power as a possible issue then.

I wasn't really referring to your graphics settings, which I'm sure your GPU can handle just fine. The reason I brought up your GPU's processor capacity is just because there's a chance it's broken or limited by the lack of available power. I'm not at your PC, so all I can do is run down the list of options. The only consequence from having everything at max is that your amount of data to be processed/downloaded will increase which may require faster internet or a faster hard drive.
As for your hard drive.. 7200RPM says nothing in itself. That's how fast your hard drive spins, but says nothing about how fast data can be processed from and to it. It's the read/write speed you should be interested in. That's why people are buying Solid State drives these days. But if you haven't already, splitting your hard drive into more than 1 volume might improve performance. A regular defrag (once a month is more than enough) ran on that hard drive will also be beneficial. The closer the data is packed together, the faster it can be read. Back when I had only a single hard drive, I used to split them in 2: 1 for the OS and "regular programs" like office and Firefox and one for data/games. It also makes re-installing Windows less of a hassle if your data is safe on another volume. System backups also take up less space this way, which was my main reason for doing it.
Genuine lag issues cannot be fixed by you alone most of the time. There are too many outside factors over which you have no control. You can upgrade your connection or change ISP, but that's all you can do. Still, if both ISPs go through the same bottleneck towards the game server, it will solve nothing. I'm assuming you have a 5mbit+ internet connection on the other side of your router. If so, that's enough, but more is better. If not, it may indeed be worth upgrading. 1MBit (yes that's still available in some parts of the world) will not cut it, especially not in instances like Tiamat.
About my GPU, I'm very sure its not as broken as broken as u described. in fact it performs any other games just as well (I run the MSI Kombustor and have my eyes on numbers quite often) except this game.
About the PSU, if that PSU doesnt have enough power for the whole system it should show up symptoms such as crash, frozen, unstable performing, display irregularities when running high-end graphic games. My rig obviously has none of them symptoms. I don't think my PSU lacks power either.
About the connection speed, I'm pretty sure there are many kinds of speed that ppl use but the one I was talking about was download speed respectively upload speed (100Mbps and 10Mbps).

nice review right there hah! but its been three years that one. Back to 2013, the game was like insanely smooth for me but now its a tragedy.

I have almost the same setup, except I have a newer i7, and an XFX 390. and 24GB ram, but that shouldn't matter for this game.
I used the have the same problems as you, 10-25 FPS, dropping frames like mad, unless I was indoors or in the starter area.
It started working for me since I have been on Windows 10, my catalyst drivers are up to date, and I have set it to D3D9 in the video settings.
I am getting 60+ now, and there's no visible lag anymore.
Hopefully that can help you out.
And for all the people worrying about a connection, network lag is only usually a slight lag cause in terms of frame rate.
