Imperial Set--Horrible visual animation, can I disable?

gsummers3gsummers3 Member Posts: 43 Arc User
Despite the imperial set bonus saying it gives bonus damage fire, the set bonus visual animation is that clouds of blood erupt from npcs when you damage them, and it erupts from friendly players when you buff them. The blood then flies across the screen and splashes into you. The end result is that there is blood flying EVERYWHERE on the screen. It was cool for the first fight, now it just is nauseating and makes me sick. Please, how can I disable this visual?

What you describe is how a lifedrinker weapon enchant looks. Are you sure it's the imperial set doing it?

As far as I know there is no animation of Imperial set.

I am sure. I took all my gear off and put them on one at a time to see when that animation would appear. It only appeared when I completed the imperial set, all 3 pieces. Remove any of the pieces and it stopped. I guess it may be a bug, I have never even owned a lifedrinker enchant.

possibly, but bleeding is not confined to your enemies. I find that when I cast Astral Shield (I am DC), which is a big defense area on the ground, if my companion is in the cast area, then he also has blood explode from him and fly into me. Very weird.

I have that set and have never seen any animation like that, maybe you need to lower some of your graphics settings, I have mine set to the default (I am going to have to pay attention and see if I am missing the animation or it isn't there with my settings lol)

It's the displace fate feat from the maze engine. I have the same visual effect bugs without Imperial.

The effect can be hidden by severely lowering graphic effect settings.

Interesting. I haven't even started Maze Engine, but it did start in one of these recent patches post-Maze Engine. I had the imperial set long before maze engine and it never did this. So something in that broke some of the visuals. My guess is that they hired Quentin Tarantino to come up with a new visual effect for the game.

Please fix Zhentarim Warlock companion's skill "Arcane Warping" to the originally intended "Arcane Boost"

Pure -> Transcendent Plague Fire weapon enchantment giving 80damge/20 seconds for 500k+ AD is a joke.
