You know how you have to press A one last time before the trade is final that's where you made the mistake so take it as a lesson learned for next time

You have to treat every trade with people you don't know as a potential scam as there's no shortage of them out there. Check everything more than once and only hit Accept when you are certain.

Live and learn, as they say.

I don't and won't trade unless I know the person involved. the ah is much safer.

How is that even still possible yet? I mean I understand if you can't differentiate Copper/Silver from Gold lol but the rest is just point on the screen and as others said you have to hit "A" eventually to complete the trade so I don't know.

If the offer sounds too good to be true, it usually is. As everyone else has said, triple check everything before accepting the trade. If it's at all possible to use the AH, do so.

That being said, sorry to hear....but it's a not a mistake if it's the first time, merely a lesson learned. Just don't make the same mistake twice, because then it's a choice.

there is a difference between scamm and a bad trade.
a scam problably is when someones trades with you and he doesnt pay you based on the bargain you guys made, and the other one is when you dont knw the prices or you traded more than enough items without payin attention.

for example a friend of mine got scammed like this : he posted a 2.2mil AD item on AH and the guy said that he will pay the rest in smops, so my friend traded the t.vorpal for the smops , and the guy didn't buyed his item from ah, basically it's a scam cause it's abusing player trust. My friend done the trade cause he is a pretty cool guy and the other guy was persistent and he was sayin "please" alot.

Just think this way: What would YOU say if you were the scammer? You would be the nicest guy, polite, but pushy, saying please and thank you and omg you are awesome!

Best bet, like above, if it is too good to be true, it probably is. If its not handled within the proper confines of the game, IE the AH or the trade window, I'd steer clear (unless its a friend).

While there are no trade windows in RL, probably not bad advice there too.
