Preview server down? Did I miss anything?

Today I tried to connect to the preview server. I can press "play" but where the character selection screen should be, I get "server not available at this time". Did I miss anything? I didn't read anything about preview being down.

    there is some alpha happening so I guess they turned it of cause of it
