i just upgraded my helmet with black ice profession to discover not only it ruined my transmutate (cost me 50k) it also ruined my power kit (cost me 178k).

so now i cant upgrade the rest of my gear cause i will lose all transmutate and kits too!

change it or for the love of god at least post on tooltip: "your kits and transmutation will be lost"!

p.s lower the cost of transmutate by half at least and for the love of god let us remove kits from gear for a price pls.

this is a well known fact but yes is kinda disappointing.

Yeah that transmute loss is a blow even more so before it was dropped from 75K to 50k which IMHO is still way to much all things considered - I now just Disable the Visual & fight as if I had no helm on.

Have you considered crafting your own reinforcement enchants to lower the cost somewhat ?

That might be self-crafted. Remember, it is 100k AD outright, then a dragon's egg, etc. Many (all?) of the kits on the AH are over 200K. At least last time I bought one, within the last 3 or 4 weeks.
