I only use set pieces, that give me power-crit-defense stats on every of my dps class charakters.
For me it's Dusk Helm and Boots, Elemental alliance Raid Bracers. Sadly there is no armor, that gives power-crit defense, only Masterwork armor would give that. So either crit-armorpen defense or crit-recovery defense stat armor will do. If you don't already have 50-60% of resistance ignored, then choose armorpen on armor and other set items too. As soon as you reach the armorpen cap, change everything to power-crit-def pieces.
My story is truly a grand tale! Of course, any story about me is going to be grand simply by virtue of the main character.
I went Dusk bp / boots, and Drowcraft arms / helm to achieve the 2-set bonus for both. Exquisite gemmed underclothes for the classic crit - armor pen - power stats.
Used various enchantment stones to fill in any gaps in Armor Pen or Crit for offense; Deflection or Lifesteal in defense. (if Combat spec, go Deflect only - you'll have more than enough Lifesteal through feats).
