Voted out while waiting for rewards in eDemo?

gorbad13gorbad13 Member Posts: 13 Arc User
So I just did an eDemo run and we had defeated him and in the short time between finishing the fight and the rewards appearing I was suddenly voted out of the party and immediately dumped out of the whole thing. I didn't thought that was supposed to be possible? Especially since at that point there is no possible benefit to the people remaining as the fighting is over. It doesn't seem intentional, especially as it's been made harder to kick people from normal dungeons.

No no, this was a vote kick. There was a guild member in the party as well and he voted against (there were also only 4 of us for some reason). And I mean the main reward, not the chest. I'm not that bothered, but it seems like it's unintentional and if it had been a gold finish considerably more annoying.

The Vote was probably placed prior but didn't get completely voted on until after. Sounds like an issue that needs worked out. Sending to bug reports.

I was just voted out of epic demogorgon, we just received gold, I was doing my job leading the demon into the runes and I was voted out, This is ridiculous if your playing the game I do not see how they can vote someone out of it. This needs to be fixed I helped with my buffs and was playing the game right.

This is a problem with guilds also if they are doing a run they just vote you out if your not part of the guild, in areas where they can not vote you out you get harassed by private messages asking you to leave because its a "guild run."

Which is Class S assholism, honestly. If you leave you get queue banned. You might not if you get vote kicked (I've not been on the receiving end, so I don't know). So really all they're really saying is "we're dumb HAMSTER and want to make your day less enjoyable".

On the other hand, you have players asking to be kicked to avoid being queue banned because of an inevitable failure due to a number of different reasons, from poor party composition to random disconnects to bugged instances. There seems to be a lot of work ahead to get this raid working optimally.

Given the "evolution" of Tiamat, I would suggest people just get used to it.

There is no team work on never winter I have been on here more then two years and people just leave the game if they think people are not doing what they want them too. On STO people help each other like telling them what to do in certain games if they are more involved they might suggest you go on wiki to read what you need to do to win the pvp or pve. On Never winter you get voted off and sometimes it is because a greedy nasty person just wants a better reward this game really needs to be re vamped or needs a better group of people playing it. I went back to Star trek online and have over 10,000 zen because I have not been on there for so long and you know what? Friends I have not talked to in two years were more then happy to get me caught up. That would never happen on never winter. My only regret is i spent so much money in Never winter.

Unfortunately for you, in the time it would take me to explain how to do even a single skirmish correctly and carry weaklings through it--one clueless noob is fine in most cases, but two or more and you can see significant issues crop up--, I could have just continually ditched questionable groups until I found a good one and gotten that skirmish done two or three times. And in the mod 8 content, I and everyone else is actively rewarded for this behavior not just in the savings on time and aggravation, but in getting better (chances at) rewards.

If Cryptic didn't think this was appropriate behavior they wouldn't release half of the new content so bugged you have to ditch it until you get the unbugged versions (non-bubble throne = ditch, closing portals first stage on prophecy = ditch), and they wouldn't explicitly give you better rewards for running content with high quality players.

I say that last bit sarcastically, of course, because I think a lot of us agree that Cryptic gonna Cryptic.

I value my time too much to spend it all crossing my fingers on finding out whether or not a questionable group can find a way through a dungeon. The frustration vastly exceeds any benefit I get from trying to enlighten the random masses.

The way to learn how to do things is EXACTLY what you just said you did in STO: you ask friends, you ask guildmates. You ask the people who have an interest in you and your performance. You don't ask random dudes just trying to get their grinding HAMSTER done to tenderly guide you through things and expect good results unless you're doing it in something specifically designed for it--if there were "noob help" chat channels, that would be good, at least until spammers and the actual jackasses ruin it due to what I expect would be virtually zero moderation. I don't mind helping my guildmates get through content they don't know well every now and then. I definitely mind doing it all the time with random people.

I am not saying give directions on how to run the entire game. I am saying if someone is doing something wrong let them know. I understand you do not have time to write a paragraph but my in game team chat works fine I can hear people just fine if they talk to me and yes I do try to research anything new so I am not the one who is making a lot of **** ups. My main point is you make one mistake "or not" and your voted off the island and I too get mad after investing my time playing and contributing to winning a game and get kicked off for what ever reason.
