"The Underdark was the VAST network of underground caverns and tunnels underneath the surface of Abeir-Toril. [3] It was home to a host of evil Beings driven deep into the caverns at the end of the age of demons."
Definition of VAST:
"adjective, vaster, vastest.
1. of very great extent or area; immense:
the vast Reaches of outer space. "
Hello everybody, for being a veteran player of D & D, I confess I expected a bit more of Underdark, and stumbling upon a new area, I had to fetch these definitions. I'm really disappointed.
The skirmishs and fight with Demogorgon were good, and the changes of Trade Bar Store were fantastic. The new campaign also follows a simple and flexible progression, and that's very good.
However, I believe that, like me, many players expected to venture a larger version of the Whispering Caves, facing Drow, Mindflayers and other dangers of the Underdark. And when we got there, we came across a tiny and unattractive area. I really expected to see an underground city, with annexed areas, as it was in Icewind Dale.
Anyway, congratulations for the work, but hopefully give us something more to explore in the next module.
Expect the best, prepare for the worst, and face whatever comes!
