The sale's been a good way for lots of people to get some nice stuff.

But Cryptic's doing it for a reason, not because they want to spread joy to us all. I'd say they want to get as much of the billions of AD people have been sitting on out of the economy as possible, and they want everyone to get VIP.

Yes, the AH prices for a lot of goods from lockboxes are dropping like crazy... it's a good time for buying things, but also a reason why i'm going to wait with selling my stuff for a week or two.

And unless some players use that new gained AD to buy items from the Wondrous Bazaar, the AD is just moving between players through the ZAX, but not really getting "out of the economy".

I got some really nice stuff that I wouldn't have bought otherwise, but I also exchanged what was left (about 1k Zen) for diamonds. I'm guessing that's what a lot of people have done since the ratio was back up near 500 AD per Zen. A lot of things I want, I can't buy from the store and the quickest/easiest way to make diamonds...

To an extent, but the people sitting on tons of AD will likely have exchanged most of it to make the most of the sale, meaning it's distributed around more. And with AD in game being so limited, people aren't selling it -- as clearly demonstrated that even a 50% Zen sale hasn't managed to push the price of Zen to 500. It's needed for all the AD sinks/RNG.

Thanks for the sale, I extended my VIP, got a bag and some health stones. I prepared early for the sale and saved up my zen, so thanks again.
