ARMOR SPECIALIZATION (FEAT)
Increases the effectiveness of Armor Class and Defense by 5/10/15% (Maxed)
As the tooltip states "effectiveness" I would assume it should increase the Damage Resistance you gain from AC and Def by 15% at Rank 3 (as DR is the effect of AC and Def), thus if you have 40% DR unbuffed it should take you to 46%, making the feat a VERY powerful pick.
If the the tooltip is wrong and the feat is supposed to be "Increases your Armor Class and Defense by 5/10/15%" that still should lead to similiar results, as going from 30 AC to 34.5 AC would increase your damage resistance by 2.25% and the 15% increase in defense would make another 1.5% DR or so. Making the feat still a powerful pick.
However what I noticed was that it gives no bonusses at all. Neither Defense, nor AC, nor Damage Resistance were increased when I put points in it and commited the changes.
So this feat not working (is on GF and GWF) make GF lose 15% effectiveness to tanking ... And this bug is not new ... it here for a long time ... Before i didn't care about it because i didn't have difficulties to survive, but now it's harder to survive, this feat could help a lots !
Already send tickets about it ...

I haven't checked for this feat ... But you're probably right ... I wonder if the other feats who add things to base stats are working for other classes ...
It may be the new curve for level 70 where they forgot to implement them ? idk ... Anyway GL dev for fixing this as fast as possible
Toughness works but the 3% per point is so little. Tooltip says +3% of your HP per point, but it scales not with HP from Armor or enchantements.
I have points in armor specialization, strength focus, and toughness. And all 3 are broken!!??
I would like to see some dev feedback on this thread.
Does no one QA this stuff before production release?
With 3 points, 15% strength bonus, the difference was minimal with gear on.
All crits were removed. 20 single hit, first hit cleaves lv1. PE dummies.
No gear no feet: Avg 1493
No gear with feet: Avg 1613
So about an 8% difference with having the feet without gear on. But with gear...
Gear no feet: 1764
Gear with feet: 1840
The difference is crappy 4%
So it's working, but not very well..
It's working as designed.
Tested on preview: Helms Hold, Branded Zealots. They're a perfect base-line because they always do the same amount of physical damage.
No Armor Specialization:
[Combat (Self)] Branded Zealot deals 225 (310) Physical Damage to you with Branding Iron.
x30
27% Damage Resistance. Exactly what the tool-tip shows.
3 points in Armor Specialization:
[Combat (Self)] Branded Zealot deals 201 (310) Physical Damage to you with Branding Iron.
x30
36% Damage Resistance. Tool-tip still shows 27%
Since it says it increases your effectiveness of defense and armor class, it's not directly proportional to damage resistance. So it's working, just not reflected in the tool tip. So this one is debunked.
