Any new races coming anytime soon?

What's the word on new races? Games getting kind of stale. Or were races not making enough money so they've been cut for now?

The only Player's Handbook race that's missing is Gnome. There has been no "official" word from any source, just an observation.

They couldn't come up with a Gnome themed Lockbox yet. Give them time!

I suspect Mod 8.

I suspect this because everything has a pattern (though that doesn't mean the pattern never changes).

It seems to be a new race or new class every other Mod ever since open beta. We got Paladin class in Mod 6, so the question is 'how' they count Mod 7 (as a regular Mod to as a some kind of plug-in add-on Mod) - if counted as a regular mod then I suspect a new race for Mod 8.

Which begs the question: is it a free race or a Zen-Market race the way Moon Elves and Dragonborn were.

3 Times now they have had Zen only races, but twice they provided a free race at the same time. At release it was Drow and Renegade Drow (Paid Race), Then we got Sun Elves and Moon Elves(Paid Race). Then Dragonborn came along and they only added it with no free race. Eventually they added the Metal Dragonborn but those required lockbox gambling.

If I had to guess, the next Race will likely be paid as well since they seem to have stopped giving free races along with the paid ones.
