Not only nerfed the piercing damage, also the self healing. An entire tree destroyed. So now the combat tree of HR is unplayable in pvp. 0 combat HRs in high end pvp.
The next nerf will wipe the class, so no one will play HR. And then I hope you will be happy.

Taking those numbers again as evidence, and leaving SW, DC and OP aside for obvious reasons, someone who never played NW would tell that the classes look about balanced between them. If anything, GF would need a nerf and HR a boost to better fit their designed class-role. He could also ask why TRs and CWs are more popular twice (!!) as much as the next most popular class.
I've said this in the past on other threads and I'm not going to repeat myself, CW that qq in forums about the daze ability of trappers usually fail to see the other side of the mirror...
There are many posts here and other threads that explain and answer directly the question to the original poster. Any further comments on this subject would be repeating what others have already said so to me this discussion is becoming redundant and futile and should stop until someone has something new and interesting to add.

Why you just don't ask for buff some encounters/at-will and fix broken DoT from thorne? Maybe caz it easy way to play? Press button and wait till oponent die from ticks.
PS: I would love to see my Deep Gash pre mitigated hits for 15k and i would love to see you screaming after that.lol
Again, I played archery for 2 years so no one here can say that I use easy things/ways. If someone are killing you with thorn ward just lol. I dont use it in pvp or pve.

M2 GWF was the most overpowered class in the history of this game and you are still crying. I would not scream with a player of your level. Get better. A lot. And be careful with those thorn wards lol.
And I dont think that you can make scream a ton of players.

PS: I think that all dps from GWF must be distributed between at wills and more encounters, and not leave it all to 1 IBS hit that must be hard to land on a medium skilled player. With stacks that also its not easy to create. Anyway, again, another thread.

Correction: "Piercing Damage" (Piercing Blades) from HR's Melee tree was NOT nerfed, was FIXED. Now, devs just need to buff it up to be 200% of weapon's damage (not extra bonus) and it will be good again. Also, devs need to remove the "half effect" on Wild Medicines while flagged for PvP.

That bug forces my hand to play permastealth... The HR needs to die before landing a single hit on me. Average ticks around what, 3-5K post mitigation? 54K - 90K damage, it ticks a couple times every second or faster I'm not sure. Elven Battle needs to be a viable counter to Trapper HR. Not necessarily need to nerf anything atm. If it was WAI, you just waltz right through the permaroot, and the daze just feels like microlags.

It can tick up to 9k as its affected by damage modifiers.
I think the problem that most ppl have with your 'fix it' proposes is, that it is a nerf request without giving any compensations.
I played combat HR until they nerfed it that hard, that it was difficult to do dailies. Now I play my HR as trapper. If I get the enemy first (exept OP, DC, GWF or MI TR) he usually is toast, but it is the same way, it the GF hits his combo, CW can do his full rotation etc.
The main difference is, that the GF does his rotation and with some luck and good gear, you are dead. You respawn and try again. HR dmg is so low, compared to most other classes, that it takes ages to kill you (I talk about ppl with decent gear, every class can crush a 1,2k IL/ no tanacity PuG). So the HR gets the drop and you are CCed for most of the time and if he has decent gear and luck, until you are dead. In each scenario you are dead, but the second one is more enraging, bc you sit in front of your computer for what feels like ages and you cant do anything.
ATM trapper, imo, is to strong in CC and to weak in dmg, compared to most other classes in PvP. If they reconcider and make changes, fine. A pure 'fix' for CC would make HRs the next SW.
BTW, I did fight trapper HRs with my CW in PvP and I sat there ranting about this f***ing CC, but it is not worse, than some GFs, OPs, TRs or DCs, as fas as class balancing goes.

Yes, and not only that but a CW for example that kills you in one rotation and a half in a domination 5v5 has less chances of being interrupted while doing it because its so fast, than a HR that kills a CW in 5 or 6 rotations, if not more, because it takes longer.

this elven battle bug with roots, does it appear on perfect enchant too?
i think it doesn´t on normale elven enchant, so try to use a smaller version like perfect one

i sold my elven enchant and did not use it for some time, but can´t remember to be killed taht fast by any hunter
btw wich classes do profit from this enchant? OP/DC and....best option to get them fast down, bc they tend to suck anyway in PVP most time
its sam with warlock taht insta kill OP with his dot, so many broken enchants and interactions
HR needs a considerable increase in damage and a nerf to crushing roots. Overall increase burst/dps/survivability and decrease CC capabilities. Fix avalanche and cold shoulder.
Also, Lucan, the problem is you, not HR "perma" control. I am not going to tell you what to do, but try to talk to some top CWs for advice.

c) 60-70% of HR damage is from non at-will/encounter/daily procs such as Thorned Roots and Lostmauth. Fire Wheel only affects non-proc damage, which is about 30-40% of HR damage, sometimes less depending on the class and spec you're fighting.
So no. The only reason HR may melt you fast as a GWF is RNG, or you don't have cold shoulder, or your build is bad, or they have other non-HR buffs on them, or something similar. GWF/CW/TR are the classes that benefit the most from fire wheel, mostly GWF, because the majority of their damage is from at-wills/encounters, not procs like Thorned Roots.
Thorned Roots and CC immunity mechanics is another thing that may contribute to the illusion of you melting fast. If you sprint roots you may actually end up taking more damage sometimes because of how the mechanic works, which is quite annoying. And HR damage is nothing compared to GWF.
That being said, Crushing Roots needs to be deleted or reworked and HR base damage should be increased to compensate. Other more subtle changes or a rework of the class would probably be better, but with the focus on other classes and Strongholds I doubt that's possible right now.
Also Cold Shoulder, Fey Thistle and Avalanche should be deleted. It's giving a lot of classes too much of an advantage against classes like SW and HR which rely on dots for damage.

At the beginning thorned roots dealed low-medium damage. Then someone asked to include armor pen into the feat.
Some dev taked the feat and included all the offensive combat stats into this, not only armor penetration.
