even at 100% bonus it is still ~75% longer to level now than it was before patch.. and isn't the biggest zen bonus like.. 1mil xp?? that wouldn't even get 1 level.. hahahaha

I had two characters get to their overload reward today, One got the books and a power point and the other got just a flawless sapphire. A pity it was my archery HR that got the power point not my Devotion OP, but that is how it works.

I would not mind being able to buy power points from the zenith store.

Also I would not mind if they made rank 5 skills for 30 days based on a special bonus power point.

I hate paying taxes! Why must I pay thousands of dollars in taxes when everything I buy is taxed anyways!

97/124 power points now
I will grind out power points between module content to pass time.

Well, they want you to buy the xp booster from the Zen shop... again, and again, and again... for a small chance, to progress your character.
Well, of course... You want anything done efficiently and consistently, you pay real money. It's their preferred method of monetization - make the game grindy and time consuming, than put something in the Cash Shop to make it more reasonable. What bothers me is that they're trying to monetize more and more of the game using this method, but in the end it just lives us with a boring, unsatisfying experience. Someone at Cryptic thinks this is a good idea, though.
I know this isn't really constructive in any way, but let's be honest - everyone knows what's wrong with this change, and everyone knows what needs to be done to fix it.

Their method is not working on me, therefore it's just a waste of time on their end.

They should remove this ... again, apologize to the players, give out huge compensations and then work something up, that goes along the lines of the massive and good player feedback in these forums.

Is it just me, or do others also think, that they turned the overflow xp into another lockbox?
Instead of keys, you have to buy xp booster to "open" it...

I've mentioned this in another thread and it bares repeating here: It is a genuine sales technique to focus on the customer's pain and sell them relief. Best option: sell AD for enough Zen to buy the Inscribed Garments box.

Reason: shirt and pants each give 10% XP boost in perpetuity; they never go poof or expire. They also are account-wide reclaimable like Zen Mounts for any alts or future characters. And finally: they stack on top of (not behind) any other XP boosters, whether actual boosters or enchantments (Azures) - they work simultaneously. (XP Boosters do not stack, they queue behind each other).

Just though I'd mention this for anyone feeling enough XP-Grinding pain to actually consider any XP Boosters: Start with Inscribed Garments for their permanence, then consider the temporary stuff if you;re still feeling enough pain to do so.

And I do want to make it clear: I am not pitching sales for Cryptic. I absolutely hate that they are making it almost mandatory to buy this stuff to avoid going insane just playing a video game. I'm just pointing out that as screwed-up as it is: this is one answer to the XP-grind issue.

If they did in fact gaurantee a 100% power point every time.. fine .. but they dont, thats the bottom line issue, you might go 5-6 times with NONE.. that could be a couple months playtime.

The whole game can be summed up by that motto.. Just not enough reward for the time you put in.

RP grind, DD grind, XP grind.. blah blah blah..

My favorite is Black Ice grind.. LOL.. x 100000 I love the people who got it in thh first week, spending ten million AD for nothing.. like virtually 1.5% upgrade total.

Just got my first overload level on my secondary Character.

I got a whole Flawless sapphire.

Quadruple the xp to get from one overload level to the next...... If they were going to do this they should have done it for levels 1 - 70.

This x ONE MILLION.

If the game started with anywhere near quadruple the xp required to level... there would be many more still playing. It would have allowed people to play for Foundry and enjoy the ride to the top, instead up zipping to the top in a few days. Many in the alpha team was requesting this. This was one of my biggest suggestions to make the game more fun for D&D folks, the RPG folks, the Neverwinter Nights folk, and those coming from games where is doesn't take 2-3 days to get to the end game. Really though, it was mostly about creating space to do Foundry and to cut back on the ENDLESS gating which is Neverwinter and many PW/Cryptic games.

No offense.. but once you do quests once, why bother going through again?

This game is a pale pittance compared to other mmos in terms of unique rewarding story driven content. There was a time I would do foundries (like every week) to get the daily+lords rewards back, so I would swap around and find some new ones (trying to fit into the 20-30 min time frame)

Here is my experience with foundries, some are good, that contains a good mix of both combat and dialogue, but are VERY hard to find, once done, I wouldn't normally go back to one.

Then you have the terrible ones, the farming ones, the dialogue heavy ones (Im sorry but I DO not wish to press my mouse over 200 times to get through one !, thats not a joke, IVE done some like that!)

Now there is EVEN less reason to do foundries.

A... everything is so terribly gated, you grind , grind ,grind.. who has time to enjoy a foundry that has zero reason to do them.
B... like everything else in this game.. foundries are not rewarding, but they are even less rewarding, then the other not very much rewarding content.

THERE should be a foundry moderator, that awards and judges them and places them into specific brackets.. + even allow DD, pvp maps ect ect.. it would be the bomb. There is so much they could open up, but wont.. becasue.. I dont even know why.

But until something like that happens, almost no point in doing them.

I do not get what your driving at, do you actually enjoy grinding out vigilance quests? It might be the worst set of quests they have ever released, now they are forcing players to do them. ick..

I think with limiting power ranks they also want to bring Retraining Tokens back in favor. Earlier, when there were no overflow exp rewards people had to pay Zen each time they wanted to change build. With maxed/almost maxed out character the only reason to spend money on retraining token is to change path... maybe stat roll, since feats can be changed using only AD. Now, when newer toons wont have too many power points and you want to change build to something that uses other encounters (especially rank 4s) you can either grind a lot (even with all possible exp bonuses stacked) for a not guaranteed power point... or buy retraining token and change skills as you desire.

Thanks for the tip, I did not know about those.

Wow, the "heirloom" set of Neverwinter has to actually be bought from the zen store? This just baffles me now. I thought the goal was to encourage people to spend money, not force them to.

omg how have you over-leveled 5 or 6 times?!?!?! i FINALLY did once (doing all my dailys each day and some domination/skirmishes/etc) i got lucky and got a point, and a blood ruby.. but at 2-4k xp a quest.. just doing dailys would take 2 weeks or so..

Still haven't "fake leveled". Been playing pretty hard too.

But, of course, getting a whopping 1510XP per quest in DR and Sharandar isn't really helping.

I used to think that the patchnotes post was just a spin. But honestly, it's more like an outright lie.
XP given, current XP and overflow XP has been adjusted at levels 61+ so that it is more rewarding to do at level content.

*ahem*

No, it's not. It's a bucket of HAMSTER.

Well, I fell for it. Was lvl 67, and the xp meter was not moving, so I bought the 20%xp kit. But the grind was killing me. 32 hours later.. still not 70. I blame professions.
