    Hey Pottsey5g.
    I like your input on the plasma weapons need love thread. Lets talk about QUANTUM TORPEDOS.
    I play on console and am trying to make my torp build the best in the game. I use command ships of course. On your best torp build, what is your crit chance, severity and accuracy look like. I do pvp a lot . what is your most damaging build and whats the most damage your main torp does?

      Not sure what my all-time record is. I know my Quantum build pushes 166kdps+ as an Engineer. Not sure what my all-time highest hit is but in my last few runs I was getting 100k+ for normal hits and 250k and 270k critical hits. My cluster mines hit for 1million on a critical. (as a group hit, not per mine)

      Crit chance is 25.4% with a crit severity of 174.4% to as high as 346% if hitting a target on 20% hitpoints or less. Accuracy is low at 34.8 as it doesn’t do anything for mines which are my main weapon. For me torpedoes are 2nd to mines but very few people play like that. Most prefer torpedoes as the main.

      interesting concept. Do you PVP with this setup? Also with command ships that I use primarily..do you run aux2b? I definitely prefer a dread type of ship so how do you do damage and be surviveably with some manueverbility? This is my issue. having all 3 is just hard in a dread. I can only go for 2 out of the 3. lots of resists(MID 40'S), damage for main torp sits around 20k, with a 1500 dpa dropoff per each of the main remaining 3 on the front. Main thing is I think my build cannot get any better as far as sets, damage, survivialbility etc....looking for that next step.my acc sits around 125/crit + around 25 and serverity around 130.

      Not often but I do PvP and the mines work wonders for catching players out. I do not run aux2b as I use high aux to boost damage via traits and to launch hanger pets faster. As my main damage is mines manueverbility is not a problem and manueverbility is my weak area.

      Interesting. Does a higher aux actually increase damage for torps and mines???I have heard this concept but running in aux never increased me damage. am I missing something?Aux is certainly for exoyics etc.....is a DOT exotic damage AND ESSENTIALL is that what you at referring too?

      Aux does boost damage but only with the trait “Auxiliary Power Configuration Offensive” which give you bonus damage and bonus Accuracy based on Aux rating. So I run at 135 Aux as it boosts my hull healing for certain things, boosts damage and Hanger pet launch speed.

      so on my torp boats I should be running in aux instead of shield....

      It is personal preference. Depending on mood I put in 135aux and what’s left into shields. Other times I put what’s left into engines to help turn rate and abandon shields. Weapon power I always keep at a minimum as I only have 1 single energy weapon and that’s for the set bonus. My train of thought is that some NPC’s and players bypass shields but no one bypass’s hull.

      For healing I tend to focus more on hull, Engineering Team 3 with Auxiliary to Structural 3 and sometimes Hazard Emitters. The one shield heal I like is Reverse Shield Polarity with the Fabrication Engineer doff that extends it by 8 seconds.

      Yes sounds similar. I run the placate doff, and the aux to sif doff. I try to have atr least 3 tact consoles. I don't use colony consoles but the fleet ones. preference? Generally my torpd sit at 18 on a safe torp build. That is with survivalbility. I have known to have ships that do aloot more damage. Placates are very bad to deal with tho. But I will def try to run in aux to help the rad damage. what core do you use? And do you try to get the bonus damage for power levels exceeding 75?

      Most of the time I run the Elite Fleet Intervention Protomatter Deflector array as it gives a large crit chance and crit damage bonus. The warp core is Gamma Synergistic Overcharge core with gamma shield and gamma engines which with the set bonus gives 10% turn rate, 10% Kinetic damage and +10 Accuracy.

      I only have 75+ power in two systems. For Tactical consoles Vulnerability Locators.

      If you use torpedo doff Placate, Sif Placate have you tried adding the traits Peseudo-submission and Intimidating Strikes with the Adapted M.A.C.O shield.

      Mix that in with Thoron Infused torpedoes and mines and... you know I might have to give that a go. Got any other Placate ideas?
