"If you need it, I got it!" It's a toss up for me. I really like Jarok. But I have to go with Obisek. The VO absolutely nails it and I love the path his character takes.
A T6 Assault cruiser is my priority. Once that comes out and it's in my collection, then I'll consider buying the Flagships. I do love the look of the Yorktown; still... patience.
I absolutely support this point. It would improve the game vastly. I especially enjoyed the diplomatic corps missions. When the first contact missions were introduced I remember they were such a welcome addition. Cryptic, if there is something simple that can be done to improve the game relatively easily, this is it!
To a degree, yes. But, the war is over now. The mission is no longer about building alliances to fight a common enemy, it's reconstruction and laying the foundation for the peace the future has in store. Where better to start that process than right here at home with one's own neighbors, especially those we may not have…
I accept your point. But, the way I look at it, just because a race becomes a member of the Federation doesn't eliminate diversity. The whole point of Star Trek is people of different origins and philosophies coming together in peaceful cooperation. If that is under one banner or many, it is still the vision of the future…
With the introduction of the Na'Khul in the new FE series, I think this subject is well worth revisiting. Not so much for a grand alliance against the Iconians now that the war is over, but perhaps a new diplomatic campaign to bring more races in line with the temporal accords. We've done the Delta Quadrant races fairly…
I'd say the second one would also be viable as a frigate or corvette. That model was reused for the Sheliak ship after all. Both those ships are definitely on my wishlist as well.
That is an interesting question. They are certainly both at an advanced stage of evolution. It would be hard to imagine an entity with powers surpassing the Q. There are others that could also be taken into consideration as well. The Organians and the Douwd for example, these races demonstrate advanced abilities far beyond…
Using a KDF toon to fill a pirate role makes perfect sense. It works well on that side. Still it would be nice to have the variety for such a character to be a Tellarite flying a Gorn ship that he picked up 3rd hand on Drozana for what the Ferengi said was quite a bargain. Or for your Nausicaan to upgrade to a Tamarian…
There is civilian law enforcement at planetary and interplanetary levels separate from Starfleet that we have seen. Remember the Federation Security Agent that McCoy encountered in the bar in ST3:SFS? It's unclear exactly what jurisdiction Federation Security is empowered with. But, I believe it would be throughout…
I completely agree. It would only make sense to actually make any of these ships that we're discussing viable for active game play. This would mean with armaments sufficient for game combat. This would be my thought for the Acamarian Frigate. Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind seeing that scavenger warship from…
The civilian category would not be composed of freighters and transports exclusively and would not necessarily be under-gunned. For example, the unidentified vessel from the Qualor 2 Depot in TNG: Unification Part 1, or Baran's mercenary vessel from TNG: Gambit Parts 1+2. Both of these would fall under the category of…
I've got a D'Kora for my alt. She's a great ship. I already have a fleet though, the Ferengi Revenue Marine. It's a fleet for Ferengi characters with Ferengi vessels, either the D'Kora or the Nandi. If you'd like, find me in game. I'll send you an invite.
My thought exactly. To date, CBS has taken no action against any other non-CBS produced materials bearing the name Star Trek or any variation thereof (to my knowledge at least). There certainly hasn't been a "vigorous defense" of any kind. This is where I believe there may be a precedent that Axanar falls under.
This is the most preposterous thing I've ever heard of. I truly do think that CBS must feel threatened that someone with fewer resources can produce a higher quality product than the studio. Yes, it is my opinion that what JJ does not live up to the standards that Star Trek had come to be known for over more than 40 years.…
My list isn't too too long, -DS9 revamp, complete with Vic's Lounge featuring the music of James Darren. -T6 Sovereign -Cardassian ground weapons. Perhaps a Cardassian BOff as well. -More canon minor powers with corresponding spacecraft. Ex: Talarians, Sheliak, Tzenkethi, Nyberrite Alliance, Yridians -Playable Acamarian…
I just had this idea myself and decided that someone probably already beat me to it. The ensuing forum search produced this thread. It seems like a great idea given that I have been in the position of begging for help from the general community for forming a new alt fleet. Thanks to all of those who have helped me btw!…
I loved playing Final Unity back in the day. It was such a great game. Hence why I created a Garidian toon for myself with a Garidian fleet to match (1st Free Garidian Squadron). I would like to see the Garidians make their way into STO if possible. They'd make a great addition to the story line. From where Final Unity…
Absolutely in favor of a DS9 revamp. Would love to see the infirmary and security office added and Quark's expanded to include Vic's Lounge. Would love to see Cardassian ground weapons make their way into the game with the same patch.
Thank you Devs for putting so many of the ships in game that have been requested here. Your work is very much appreciated! Still holding out hope that the Acamarian Frigate will be playable in the not too distant future. It would be an absolute must have for my collection.
