I haven't tried the new queue system yet, but I've been hearing nothing but good things from people in my fleet who are doing the Random TFO's. They're pretty typical STO players too.
Something I've noticed that makes me sad, as Engineering is my favorite class, is that there isn't really any content that requires the predominantly defensive abilities you get from being an Engineer. Nowadays, there are so many traits and consoles that do what an Engineer can do to the point where being an Engineer is…
I believe what we see the Borg using to strip shields in the show is what the Borg in game use that causes that green ring to appear around your ship. That doesn't seem to insta-drain your shields, it's the OP tachyon beam the Borg have equipped that seems to be doing it. I could be wrong.
This is just a small note. I think some of the traits could use a larger buff when you get a reputation to T6. For example, the Dyson trait "Advanced Hull Reinforcement" goes from +10 Bonus All Damage Resistance to +12.5 Bonus All Damage Resistance. I realize this is Bonus All Damage Resistance vs the standard All Damage…
I actually just changed my mind, and agree with you now. I mean, they pretty much instantly stripped the shields of the Enterprise-D, a Galaxy-class starship, in The Best of Both Worlds (I believe that was the episode).
I don't even remember what I said. :D It's funny, I never intentionally try to touch a nerve but apparently it happens sometimes and I'm always surprised when I find out that I did. :p
Wasn't one of the problems with Spheres having EP2E that they would go flying off in a straight line because they have such slow turn rates? That's probably one of the reasons they reduced the duration to 5 seconds, along with the reason you mentioned. Additionally, I'm not against the Borg being able to effectively drain…
I think at this point all of the possible reasons for the queues not betting played have probably been discussed. Right now it’s not much more than a “screaming” match between select players who have a difference of opinion based on play style and experience. There’s nothing wrong with that in itself, but every time I come…
For some reason it's showing up all the way at the bottom of page 1 in General Discussion for me, despite you having just commented in it. I'm guessing it has something to do with the stupid new downvote system.
Yeah I totally get "quick fix" vibes from this whole Random TFO's thing. Instead of fixing the PvE queues themselves, they're trying to forcibly re-populate them to make it look like everything is a-ok. It's not going to work.
This, this, this! I don't even play on my Romulan that much, but I 100% understand the frustration you must be feeling. It actually bothers me seeing Romulans flying Federation ships. It just doesn't make sense to me. I can only imagine what the reaction would have been if the situation had been reversed and Federation…
Agreed. Not to mention it makes a moderator's job hell trying to go through all the threads and finding a recent one that's been pushed all the way down because of downvotes.
The Lukari set is very similar to the Kobali set, but you’d be able to get the full 4-piece set instead of having to use 3 of the 4 pieces of the Kobali set.
I noticed the same thing. People are already starting to go around voting down/marking everything off topic. I got downvoted for saying something was interesting in another thread. Edit: LOL and it looks like you even got reported for "abuse" on a comment that couldn't possibly be seen as abusive.
I believe in the livestream they said there would be one new energy type per reputation set. For example, there will be an experimental romulan disruptor beam along with the current plasma beam that’s already in the set. There however won’t be experimental romulan phaser beams, polaron beams, etc. I think this is good as…
