Intro to Torpedo Builds and Mechanics (WIP)

    So i got the starts of my Enhanced Battle Cloak Kor BoP, as you can see from the link i have a free fore weapons slot and 2 aft i was thinking of doing the 3 piece of the Morphogenic Armaments, that leaves open for the 3rd piece for the Neutronic Torpedo Launcher, or get the 3rd piece for the terran task force. The each give a trop ability for getting the 3rd for delta alliance you get Isokinetic Cannon. the 3rd in the tarren gives Secondary Torpedo Launchers. i could grab both terran and delta's 3 parts and see what i like but I'm not sure on the 3 open science consoles, i could go Console - Universal - Quantum Warhead Module from the kor I have access to infinity Prize Pack: Cross-Faction or Salvaged Console for on console just dont know what the third one could be or if i should use the prize pack console box. and for Specialization thinking Intelligence, and Strategist unless there some thing better to set. And of course I'll switch to the fleet B'rel when i can. any thoughts on the build sofar or comments on the few things in not sure abut? please Reply any help is very welcomed.

    Oh I forgot space and starship traits I should go for again i dont got every ship trait on locked and space ones i can buy if there not to pricey. Again Thank You for any Help :blush: I just realized I didn't leave a link to my build so here it is
    I tweaked it a bit heres new link https://skillplanner.stoacademy.com/4ad27a56e0055c2f22a774c68a34cf2a i notice you tend to use 3 lobi store consoles in must of your fed builds in your link the Tachyokinetic Converter, Bioneural Infusion Circuits, and Rule 62 Multipurpose Combat Console with the build i have linked i found lobi hanging around my alts banks and have enough for 1 console out of the 3 youvuse alot which should i get?

    The 3pc of the Delta Ordinance is weak, unless you have a lot of EPG. The 3pc Terran Munitions will not serve you well if you are under EBC (or trying to maintain EBC), as the secondary torpedo *should* de-cloak you again (hence, keeping you out of cloak). If I had to choose between one or the other, 3pc Terran Munitions would be my choice.

    As for consoles, Dynamic Power Redistributor Module (DPRM) on the KDF side should still be cheap.

    Get that over any other console!

    There are plenty of non-Lobi consoles you can acquire that will aid you, so save your Lobi for a sale and get the Delphic torpedo (and maybe the console later if you have no other good console choices).

    Intel/Strategist if you are flanking consistently and/or if you are Alpha Striking (which you *should* be in a Kor). You've got it right.

    I knew using Kinetics would be playing the game on hard mode, but what I didn't realize was how bad the deck is stacked against Kinetics.

    would the 3 pieces of the gamma task force ordinances be better? Use the gamma rep console, the wide arc torp, and its mine instead of the terran torp and its beam array.

    That depends on the fine details of your build, how you fly your ship and the content being played. For example I like to work out where the enemy are going to spawn like at the end of the lane in the Swarm queue, Undine rifts or Azure Nebula. In those situations the 3 piece power of the gamma task force ordinance set and mine launcher can kill the large enemy spawns far faster than any torpedo or energy weapon. But in other content like high DPS ISA runs my method still works but is less effective then torpedo or energy weapons.

    In Star Trek there is no best build. It all comes down to piloting/playstyle, content being played and what your goal is. Or to put it another way darkknightucf and myself are both Projectile masters but even when flying the same ship in the same mission we fit differently to match our differing piloting styles.

    I've been trying to build a fed battle cloak torp build using the stealth fighter set for the Defiant class tactical escort I've come up with this so far https://skillplanner.stoacademy.com/93ea05e629eb566cf4eadf2d0bc550f8 I don't know if I should go terran task force DHC in the front or go the beam array in the back if I went the DHC's I'd also equip the terran torp to, or I could go the beam array in the back the terran torp in front along with the delta reps neutronic torp I don't know what would be best.

    would the house martok 3 set work in the build instead of the terran task force torp? Go in fore Quad cannon, quantum phase torp, delta rep torp, house martok torp, aft house martok omni beam and maybe the beam array from Preserver Resonant Technologies and use its tactical console that will give 20% damage to the house martok torp?

    Since the new XV mark level I have completely gone off Transphasic weapons. The damage is so low to be near useless. For what I remember when I compared quantum did a large amount of shield bleedthough damage due to the triple raw damage, took down shields faster and then did triple damage to hull. Or something along those lines. Even Transphasic mines with 80% or higher shield pen are a waste of time. Just stick to the high damage weapons. The 2 exceptions are very rarely I might fit Transphasic weapons in the rear slot for the set bonus but not really fire it. The House of Martok full set bonus is good on a build that makes use of Con Firepower. Transphasic Clusters still have a use but I am going off them as well as Transphasic scales so badly with the new item level cap.

    then maybe I can do the 2 pieces from the radiant armaments the torp and the console or Morphogenic Armaments 3 piece set or the Counter Command ordnance I've got all 4 pieces of the set, or get the beam array in the delta ordnance put I don't know if the Isokinetic Cannon from the 3/3 set will be helpful for a Battle cloaked Defiant, or I could go all 3 with the Protonic Arsenal and focus on photons instared, or theres the Task Force Ordinances use the Ordnance Accelerator, the advanced Wide-Arc Inhibiting Chroniton Torpedo Launcher, and Advanced Inhibiting Polaron Heavy Turret(should be using turret's I've gotta equip the Phaser Quad Cannons to get the full set bonus to Battle cloak). or I could load it up with none set pieces quantum torps any suggestion?
