wow this was my first rant on this forum it's really relaxing. ranting without knowing the circumstances and reasons. it's like the words write themselves.

BRING DATA TO STO!!! Actually, one of the STO short stories in Star Trek Magazine has an older, wiser Data (but in B4's body still, likely unaged) meeting with Captain Va'Kel Shon as the latter asks for advice when he's about to take over the Enterprise-F. According to the story, Data went on one last mission in 2408 commanding the Enterprise-E, when it was attacked by the Undine; Data and the crew made it out okay, but the Enterprise-E was lost. Data then resigned from Starfleet and took the professor gig at Cambridge that he had in the TNG finale "All Good Things...". After Data 'passes the torch' onto Captain Shon and the Enterprise-F, the reader sees Data working in his lab on another android body, referring to it as his "brother".
So either Data is working on a new android body, maybe to give B4 a chance to assert himself again, or Data is messing with Lore's body (which apparently wasn't destroyed following "Descent") to a similar end; both possibilities are fraught with possible danger (and FUN!!!). I'd LOVE to see that story fleshed out more in STO, with Brent Spiner reprising of course.

The [Shard of Possibilities] is pretty fun, who doesn't want their own dancing duplicates? Without the daily lobi prize though, I'm kinda wondering why even have the FE reruns anymore? Just put those items (the [Shard of Possibilities], [Ophidian Cane], and the Breen and Reman Bridge Officers) back into the regular mission play rewards. It took like 2 years to get another FE rerun, right? It's too much of an inconvenience for players and devs alike to keep locking these items away behind a basically obsolete event.
