problems with Volanis sector Genesis missions

Having a problem with Volanis genesis missions.
First of all let me say that the rest of the game runs absolutly fine.
But..... when i try to do Genesis missions in the Volanis cluster the game freezes on the laoding screen when i enter the unexplored system.
To be more presice i'll enter the unexplored system , i'm taken to the loading screen , gets about 1/4 of the way through and then the loading screen just freezes and i can't do anything. The only way i can get out of the loading screen is to re-start my computer.
I'm not getting a cryptic report file and i get no info as to why it froze so i can't give any more information on it.
Any ideas why this is happening or is it just a bug ?
