cant get pass character start up screen

please this is day two and i still cant get pass the character start up screen i have a character now cause last night it let me but crashed and now wont let me pass the start up screen

    Yes so far I haven't even been able to create a character, I click on create a new char and thats it, nothing happens whatsoever.

    I am having a similar issue. I haven't connected to the server yet. It tells me the server has timed out before I even get the opportunity to log in. Any help in this would be appreciated.
