It's been about 45 minutes of "retrying shortly".
This happened after I appeared in a ground mission as my ship.
I understand what's happening, and I've read the dev posts. My feedback is that whatever the server defines as "shortly" before it logs out your inactive character, should be less than 10 minutes... not over 4 minutes.
