Unable to open the Age Of Discovery Starter bundle

I have the Age Of Discovery Starter Bundle box in the inventory of the level 65 character I intended on opening it on, but I cannot open it. Since it is bound to character, I cannot move it. This character is a Discovery captain who leveled up in the Walker class ship. I do not have access to the character only items.

I have been able to claim everything but the tardigrade through various parts of the C store. When I click on the box it now says "You can only one of a unique item, it shows a picture of a tardigrade. The non combat pet tardigrade that I got when I made this character may be the problem.
