Crash upon entering Fleet Research Lab Space Map

STO Crashes or Freezes on the Loading Screen whenever attempting to enter the Fleet Research Lab Space Map.
Attempted on characters from all five Star Fleet factions. All characters are Engineers, Fleet Holdings are fully leveled, except for the Colony.
Through breaking waves and vicious storms /
Against lightning's fury and thunder's scorn /

    I just had the same issue. I deleted the bins.hogg file in the piggs folder and let the launcher patch the file back in. This fixed it for me. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Star Trek Online\Live\piggs

    I tried doing it your way mawstermau. It repatched. When it hit 94%-97%, patching slowed down dramatically. The great news that it did work. Thanks for the solution.
