Changing any graphics setting in the "Options" window changes the resolution scale from 1 to 0.

1. If your resolution scale is 1 and you change another graphics setting, then the game will change your resolution scale to 0.
2. If your resolution scale is 1 and you try to set it less than 1, then the game will change it to 0.
3. If your resolution scale is less than 1 and you try to change it to 1, then the game will change it 0.
4. If your resolution scale is less than 1, then changing another graphics setting will not affect your resolution scale.
5. If your resolution scale is less than 1 and you change it to another value less than 1, then the game will keep your new setting.

After the game sets the resolution scale to 0, it cannot be changed back without using the /renderScale command or editing the gameprefs.pref file. Trying to change it back using the controls in the "Display" tab will not work.

Although I've not tested every graphics setting, I have tested several different settings in different tabs. In particular, I've tested

1. "Resolution scale" itself in the "Display" tab
2. "Antialiasing" in the "Display" tab
3. "Lighting 2.0" in the "Graphics" tab
4. "Shadows" in the "Graphics" tab
5. "Bloom intensity" in the "Advanced" tab

Steps to reproduce

1. Open your gameprefs.pref file and set the following entries to 1:
        PrefEntry GfxSettings.RenderScaleX 1
        PrefEntry GfxSettings.RenderScaleY 1
2. Start the game client, and log on to any character.
3. Press Esc. Click "Options". Then click on the "Display" tab.
4. Notice that "Resolution scale" is set to 1.00.
5. Change one of the following graphics settings and then click "OK":
  • "Antialiasing" in the "Display" tab
  • "Lighting 2.0" in the "Graphics" tab
  • "Shadows" in the "Graphics" tab
  • "Bloom intensity" in the "Advanced" tab
6. Open the "Display" tab again. Notice that "Resolution scale" is now 0.00.
7. Try to change "Resolution scale" using the slider, the left and right arrow buttons next to the slider, or the text box.
8. Reopen the "Display" tab after you click "OK". Notice that "Resolution scale" is still 0.00.
9. Enter the following command into the chat window:
        /renderScale 1
10. Open the "Display" tab. Notice that "Resolution scale" is now 1.00.
11. Use the left arrow button to change "Resolution scale" to 0.95.
12. Reopen the "Display" tab after you click "OK". Notice that "Resolution scale" is now 0.00.
13. Enter the following command into the chat window:
        /renderScale 0.95
14. Open the "Display" tab. Notice that "Resolution scale" is now 0.95.
15. Use the right arrow button to change "Resolution scale" to 1.00.
16. Reopen the "Display" tab after you click "OK". Notice that "Resolution scale" is now 0.00.
17. Exit the game client. Open your gameprefs.pref file and change the following entries from 0 to 1:
        PrefEntry GfxSettings.RenderScaleX 1
        PrefEntry GfxSettings.RenderScaleY 1
18. Restart the game client, and log on to any character.
19. Open the "Display" tab. Notice that "Resolution scale" is once again 1.00.
