I think they literally came out and said this was not the case over in the Galactic News Network.
Actions speak louder than words, my young apprentice. It doesn't matter what they say, only what they do. If they say they aren't going to ignore making X ships, but then over the next 12 months barely make any, then what they said was wrong. Time will tell, regardless of what was said.

He did NOT in ANY way suggest they would be making them often, or anywhere near on parity with Fed/KDF ships. He simply said they aren't PLANNING on NEVER making them.
If anyone finds that to be an encouraging statement, I feel sorry for you.
Not every pack needs to have a romulan or jem'hadar variant or so on. They've plainly said that there will continue to be romulan ships and so. /thread

If it wasn't then where is the Romulan escort? I can understand them not making a JH one but not a Romulan one.
