Reman special BOFF shown without head in character selection

I've got the Reman science BOFF from the ongoing Featured Series event (Cloaked Intentions storyline), but when I log in in the game, I see him without much of his head.
Clicking on another character and then back on the one with the Reman active seems to solve the issue, but it repeats itself every time I log into the game. The problem doesn't happen with regular Remans from the Romulan faction.
