T6 ships that don't (yet?) have a fleet variant??

Um... How do you expect me to buy the Pilot one when I can't even get it up to scratch?

Is it a case of "we haven't gotten around to it yet" or a case of "this is a noob trap to make people throw 30 bucks down the toilet"

the ships from the pilot 3 pack are already fleet level. all the three pack ships are like that.

One of the primary differences between a "regular" T6 and a T6 Fleet ship is that a "regular" T6 only has 10 consoles, when they are upgraded to the Fleet version they get 11 consoles. The Tactical Escort is a "regular" T6 ship.

Some T6 ships are sold as a Fleet version already with 11 consoles. These ships will never have an upgrade path to a Fleet version because they are already considered Fleet level ships. The Pilot Escorts are T6 Fleet level ships.

yes, some escort have lower hulls than other however that not about fleet level or not it's about different ship lines.

pilot escorts have less hull than normal escorts they have pilot maneuvers to make up for it, take an intel or tactical escort take the same gear same skills put it on a pilot escort it will have slightly less hull, but pilot maneuvers make the difference

Even with T5 there were certain ships that didn't have fleet versions because they were already up to Fleet Level. The T5 Vestas don't have a fleet variant because for all intents and purposes, they were already fleet level based on the number of consoles. Same goes for T6 ships. The Pilot Escorts, as mentioned above, are already fleet level based on the console slots. And when the Pilot Escorts came out, it was mentioned that they would have less Hull than a standard T6 Escort. However they have Pilot Maneuvers that allows one to actually EVADE attacks, which balances it out. A well timed side roll or reverse burst negates damage.

The main defining feature of a Fleet Level ship is one extra console slot. Sure they generally also come with more Hull than the standard variant, but if a C-Store ship is ALREADY at Fleet Level console slots... then that's not an issue as there is no "standard" version to compare to.
So compare the Pilot Escort to a Fleet T6 Tactical Escort... they should have the same total number of console slots. Now take that Pilot Escort and compare it to the standard T6 Tactical Escort. The Pilot should have 1 more than the Tactical Escort.

Therefore... the Pilot Escort would already be comparable to a Fleet variant ship.

Yup, 3 pk ships are already fleet quality ... count the consoles.
10 = non-fleet quality.
11 = fleet quality.
They aren't getting any better unless T7 comes along.

With the Spec trees... there's no need for T7. We're not getting vertical level progression, we're getting lateral. As long as they make more spec trees, we will get new ships. Besides... what fancy new mechanic would they add to T7 anyways? And what would a Lv 70 player be called? Emperor of the Galaxy?

The original pilot escorts are already at fleet level, OP. Meaning they already have 11 console slots.
