SteamRunner on PC

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
I was looking to buy the steamrunner pack from steam, but I can't find it listed. Is it still available or did they remove it? If it still is anybody got a link?

I want the ships for my collection.

    The Steampack was removed around the time that the console version was released.
    When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

    Yup, sad also, my brother wanted to buy it too... i have it, since launch... sad nobody else can have it.. it's a nice ship.. hope they put it on the C-Store, lobi or something..

    Unfortunately, Cryptic removed it because it was somehow exploitable and people were taking advantage. I too hope they find a way to restore this pack to access by the playerbase. I never see many Steamrunners in the game but the ones I do see always seem to belong to very proficient players.

    Which Steamrunner the Tier 1 or the Tier 5U, because you get both in the pack?

    The story is that the Steam starter pack got yanked off the steam store because of some sort of exploit, then a few days later the Tier 1 version of the ship gets gifted to one of the consoles and an 'andorian light escort' goes to the other.

    So I personally think the exploit story is utter bullsh1t and they yanked it to use part of it for a giveaway and thought it wouldn't be noticed, they must think most of the playerbase are fcuking idiots.

    It does seem fishy, I rarely see any flying around so how many exploited it?

    Always wanted it but based on reviews the hoops you had to jump through to claim it made things hit n miss.. so Here's hopin she reappears in the c-store

    I love my steam runner... It's my favorite escort... I really hope they make a T6 version at some point.

    cannot say but the Steamrunner pack was most likely not the only pack exploited on steam they had the LoR and delta packs on steam prior to their removal as well as Neverwinter stuff

    Never had any issue with the LoR Pack that I bought through Steam. The code was entered into the Cryptic system and all Ships were obtained from the C-Store.

    Or was it Cryptic's issue because they decided to separate the Accounts and C-Stores and sloppily implemented this wall of separation between the different platforms.

    The "assumed" exploit was people would buy, claim, then get a refund through steam all inside 5min or less. I say assumed because fans/players thought it up and not a Dev... Of course we'll never hear officially what the exploit was because that would give people ideas.

    I may not fly mine, but from experience the T5 Steamrunner may not be as flexable as other T5 escorts, but she's got some tankyness in her. Also I'm glad they gave her 2 options for the location of the impulse engines, as when she was first released they didn't have the canon impulse engines. They added that in later.

    On the other hand I love my Steam Powered title, and I make use of the Admiralty card all the time. -5% maintenance per ship is pretty sweet.

    I first got the steam starter pack just for the console for helping my team but now that i have had experience with the steamrunner both T1 and T5 they are brilliant i would say the T1 steamrunner is the best starting ship and the T5 is very good only problem with it is that you get it at LV50 the same level as you can get T6 ships so i would have prefered it to be at LV40 but it serves well and i occasionally still fly it even over my T6s.

    If a T6 steamrunner came out i would get it in a heart beat (just like a T6 nebula but that's getting off topic).

    Could be. Apparently that's what some people did to get some of the Fallout 4 DLC on Steam, as refunding doesn't delete the DLC files.

    Proud owner of a Steamrunner since it first became available :) It's an awesome little escort for a T-5U capable ship.

    Definitely recommend to those who love Escorts.

    Also- I know of no "exploit", logic would dictate if there was one, they would have made the current ships unavailable to until said exploit was fixed. Anyone have a cited reference for this from PWE/Cryptic other than pure speculation?

    I saw something posted that they were looking into ways to bring this ships availability back to PC. I cannot recall where I saw it, but I did. Lord I hope it does come back as I have wanted it for a bit but never did get around to getting it.​​

    Never had any interest in this ship but reading this thread makes me want one now. Maybe because i like collecting sto artifacts and this is not available makes me want one.
    The console seems.....not awesome to me though, dont understand the hulabaloo.
    Am i to understand that there is no console from the T5 version only the T1?

    When you get them you get them both and the Console is on the T1. That is a fairly common practice that Consoles that can be used on any ship are on the lower Tiered ones. Consoles, if any, on upper Tier Ships are generally only good on that ship or class of ship.

    the console from the t1 you put on the t5 if you wish and if you think this ship was all about the console then you dont deserve one of these fine ships "move along this isnt the ship your looking for "

    I too had been wanting them for awhile now and never got around to going to buy them, I do want both the T1 and T5. I collect all kinds of oddities in game I even have a Delta Flyer schematic, from way back when you had to actually build one by crafting. But I love the looks of these ships and would fly one at endgame if I could get the T5, upgraded or not.To be honest I dont even know what the console does, so it would join the ranks of my other ship specific consoles.
