Rarity upgrade of the Heavy Crescent Wave Cannon from lobi store.

Hey community, hey dev team.

During my upgrade process to MKIV I had a rarity upgrade on the Heavy Crescent Wave Cannon of this set:

Lucky me? Not really because the stats of the MKIV very rare version seem exactly the same as those of the rare one (I happen to have on another toon which didn’t manage the quality upgrade on MKIV).

Could anybody confirm this as a general bug/oversight? Would be a shame if somebody tried for rarity upgrades on purpose and waists tons of recourses for a mere change in colour on the item.

    I would like to see this resolved, also. I am in the process of upgrading the quality of mine.

    no additional mod for the hcwc on upgrade to very rare. plz fix asap, thx.

    Same. No benefit to upgrading. Totally bogus. Plz fix.

    ok, like 8 weeks ago this thread started. not many participated in (who would upgrade that thing or even buy it lol... though i even used it in pvp with joy :D:)), but still the pricing on it should justify quick action imho.

    i would say plz (again), but in this very moment i feel it sounds kinda wrong in this case :rolleyes:..

    same issue. no change from rare to very rare.

    same issue exists with elachi subspace torpedo, no increase in stats for mk 14 rarity upgrade

    interesting. not bothered yet to upgrade that one as well and i think i'll leave it as it is lol :rolleyes:

    Since we're talking Lobi, you may want to also check out the Chroniton DBB as well. There's some threads relating to it as well.

    as the chroniton dbb got its fix and the hcwc not made onto the known issues list yet, will it go there or is it even already fixed anywhere? just asking.

    I keep thinking that it's potentially a very fun lobi set of 3 items, I keep trying to find a solid best-use situation for them, however only the s'goth has command tac (cannon abilities)

    from todays patchnotes:

    "Chroniton Dual Beam Array now gains a mod when upgraded to Very Rare quality.

    Any existing Very Rare or higher versions will gain a CritD mod."

    I had the same problem different item. I upgraded my Jem'Hadar Polaron Full Auto Rifle From Mk XIV Rare to Mk XIV Very Rare and the only change to the item was the rarity, No increase in stats or added modifications.

    I know that in the past adding new broken content before addressing old broken content was business as usual for STO, though they seem to have been making more of an effort in that area
    there is still a lot to be done. Anyways this particular bug involves a lot of time, effort and valuable resources on the players part and is very disheartening to say the least.

    I personally think I'll take a break from STO until they can at least catch up on the crafting issues and make good on those items that failed. Or at least get some kind of response from my ingame bug reports.
    :) I'm Doing Pretty Good.......but i'll get over that
