Hey guys, your friendly, neighborhood SpiderMitch here! What started out as a simple concept: create a shipchart that showed 'multiple angles of each ship & the stats of those ships' has become a major project. I've been developing these charts since June of 2010, and was urged to post it on the forums from some friends around August of 2010. The reaction I got was phenomenal, and as the game continues to grow, so has the attention to my 'little graphical shipchart'. Members of the community have helped me in keeping these things up-to-date and accurate, and it's to that community which I gladly share my little contribution to STO. Please feel free to use this forum to leave any feedback, kudos, or corrections...

- Change angles on Exploration & Assault Cruisers to match the rest of the chart
- Just noticed I forogt to put the device slot count on the Adv Odyssey :rolleyes:
- Correct price of Lieutenant Commander FED ships, it is 15 000 dilithium, not 40k (thx Toiva)

- Resized entire chart to accomidate for new VA tier column
- Added Heavy Escort Carrier section with stats
- Added new Shield UI HUD element and stat for Oddy, Atrox and Armitage

- Recreated Advanced Odyssey Cruiser section: moved Subclasses to the right, Broke apart all consoles, Changed color of console backdrops, & grouped with Subclasses

Ooooo that's interesting! Unfortunately, I won't be adding them until they are announced and Cryptic puts them in (or at least on Tribble). I once added a ship - can't remember which one- to the Fed chart ahead of time, and people got confused;
Still, however, this does allow me to start thinking and rearranging ships to make room for new entries in the tiers. So definitely, thanks for sharing!
Thanks alot! I try to update them as quick as the new ships hit, or within a day or two. & yep, I've got STOwiki hot-linked directly to the files on my site, so they should be updated at the same time. Just remember to use the forums for feedback & such. It's easier for me to check these posts, than sort through the talk/discussion pages on the wiki.

Well, WishStone (Cryptic Community Representative) created two new sections: Klingon Fleetyards & Federation Shipyards. He asked me to post on both, so that everyone would have access to the charts. I may eventually make the Klingon post the KDF chart/updates/feedback, and the Fed post contain the Fed chart/updates/feedback, but right now I am keeping both in sync, so that everyone can have access to them.
I don't know what will happen to the Academy section, but if Cryptic feels my charts should be in the shipyard / fleetyard listed above, who am I to argue? I suppose doing what you did and posting that you want it back in the Academy is the way to go. Personally, it doesn't matter to me, but I do want everyone to be able to find it...
One thing I have done, however, is make a redirector http://bit.ly/stoshipchart so that you'll always be able to get to the forum, no matter where it resides. This bit.ly URL is printed at the top of the chart, for future reference.

Please don't stop updating this chart, I've lost track of how many times I refer to it. It's a fantastic piece of work and makes it really easy to choose what ship I will get when I rank up any of my characters.

Either way: here are the latest change notes:
The Vor'Kang costume is available for the Retrofit Vor'cha, just the skin, no other ship stats are effected.
You can of course also fit the isometric charge console, since it can be fitted on all cruisers, battlecruisers and carriers.
Newest changes to charts:
I knew they were getting rid of the Lt. ships, but not the Lt. Cmd tier! :eek:
So, my question is what is happening with the Lt. B'Rel, Lt Cmd Somraw / Quldun / K'Tanco ships? Did I miss something about them being merged into other tiers or something? I tried searching the forums, but it's next to impossible to get official info with people offering up their own ideas. The myriad Dev blogs don't go into detail other than the line I saw above, and the consoles of various ships. Looking for someone to let me know soon so I can make the corrections on the KDF chart....

Some people actually like flying the lower tier ships....Probably shouldn't have been taken away, but as long as they come back...eventually....

Thanks for the verification, Heretic! Looks like I'll be keeping the first two tiers up, with maybe a note saying "Starting Level" or something on the Commander tier... not sure yet. But thanks for the info!
Hope you guys like all the changes. Sorry it took so long; it was almost like completely making a brand new chart. There are some things I went a little hastily through, and I plan on revisiting them, but I wanted to get out what I had so I can be working on the finishing touches while fixing anything you fine people see that needs correcting. Just be nice

Good catch! Got it corrected on v6.1.2.... Hit F5 or CTRL F5 to refresh the picture & make sure it says "VERSION 6.1.2 - 12.30.2011" at the top.
EDIT: Updated Original Post; now in sync with FED shipyard posting.
Throughout the year, you guys have helped with corrections, suggestions, and motivation - and it's definitely appreciated!!! I even had an anonymous source send a gift package my way (got a little exocomp from it to help out around the bridge. LOL)
Once again, if anyone sees things needing correcting on the KDF updates, lemme know, and I'll do my best to fix them. Currently, I'm working to get the FED chart consoles & ship updates done before F2p, and I'll be revisiting the KDF chart to add stuff I've skipped (Dilithium prices, etc...)
