Cannot Login since strongholds update

i have not been able to login since the strongholds update, i put in my password hit enter then wait and wait until it returns me to the pw field page again. This is the most frustrating game I have ever played. I am already logging in on safe mode because the last time they did the elemental update I could not login and got a device directx device hung or crashed msg or something like that. I have only been able to safe login ever since and now it looks like I cannot seem to do even that. This game seems intend on shedding its players faster that it releases updates. This is a shame.
