Troll Companion Active Bonus Ideas

So, because the devs seem to have run out of troll companion active bonuses, I am going to (with the help of @thefabricant ) jokingly create a list of the most troll active companion bonus ideas I can think of. This is half serious, half joking. Realistic companion effects only, and as troll as possible while still sounding good to anyone who might not know all of the mechanics of the game.

All of these are at epic rank.
  • Gain 1% of all your active pet's ratings
  • Gain 10% more power, crit, recovery, and lifesteal of your allies within 20', they lose 5% of their power, crit, recovery, and lifesteal.
  • Deal 5% more damage if you are not 1st on the paingiver chart.
  • Deal 10% more damage. 5% of the damage you deal is removed from your hit points.
  • Your lifesteal chance is increased by 100%. Heals from allies deal damage to you.
  • Randomly every few seconds you either gain acceleration or deceleration. While affected by acceleration you gain +300% movement speed. While affected by deceleration you are slowed by 50%.
  • When you are revived from near death your damage is increased by 1% for 5 minutes. Stacks up to 20 times. Stacks are lost on death.
  • Deal 20% more damage, but your movement speed is cut in half. This companion effect lasts 15 minutes after being removed.
  • Deal 10% more damage to enemies you are not facing.
  • Deal 5% more damage while airborne.
  • Deal 7% more damage. You deal 2% less damage for each nearby ally.
  • Deal 40% more damage. You have a chance to receive Partial Paralysis every few seconds.
  • Enemies have 20% higher chance to drop treasures when killed.
  • You have a 10% chance to knock back nearby enemies when dealing damage.
  • Your encounter powers have a chance to apply partial paralysis to everyone nearby.
  • You emit an aura that slows everything around you by 20%
  • Your encounter powers create patches of slick ice on the ground near the target. Enemies standing on icy ground have their defenses reduced by 10%. Watch your step!
  • You have a chance before using an encounter power to replace it with the power of a different class for up to 5 minutes.
  • The direction of your knockback effects are reversed. You emit an aura that knocks enemies towards you who are within 30 feet.
  • When you take damage teleport to a random location at least 80 feet away from your attacker.
  • Deal 10% increased damage for every ally within 30 feet who is dead.
  • Your single-target attacks resonate, dealing 10% of the damage to everyone within 10 feet of your target.
  • Deal 10% increased damage while stunned or disabled.
  • Your control effects last 10% longer on bosses.
  • Every time you damage an enemy gain a stack of Recklessness. Recklessness increases your damage output by 50% but reduces the speed of your attacks by 10%. Stacks up to 10 times. Expires when you leave combat.
  • +800 Hit Points, +200 Power
  • You deal 100% more damage while out of combat.
Any additions?

Whenever you release (from death) your damage is increased by 15% for 5min.
Whenever you request help while you are downed, your damage and defense are increased by 1% for 3min (stacks up to 10 times)
You deal more damage depending on how far you are from your nearest ally, 1% for each 10' away.
You and all allies within 30' lose your move speed bonus but gain an equivalent bonus to your damage, and also lose an additional 20% movement speed.

Whenever you attack with an At-Will your next encounter power will deal 1% more damage and whenever an encounter power is activated you deal 10% less damage on your next at-will attack.

Your attacks have a 50% chance to stun your target. Your powers do zero damage to stun targets.

100% increase to critical severity damage with a 100% decrease to critical chance

For every ally next to you, you gain 5% increase in damage. For every enemy within 20' of you you lose 25% in damage.

When deflecting an attack, your next attack will deal splash damage at equal to 50% of your current HP and you suffer damage equal to the splash damage dealt.

Get 50% increase in damage at the cost of 50% of current HP, each re-occurring hit increase HP cost by 1%.

1 shot everything and anything that is not a boss. But you are also subject to the same rules

This is like the card game Munchkin...I can do this all day...LOL...

My last one. and this one can stack... LOL...

If there is a GWF in the group in the group they lose 50% of their damage and buff the group damage by 20%.

    • Upon completion of a dungeon or skirmish, 5% chance to have your damage increased by 50% for 10 minutes, or damage resistance reduced by 15%. This effect does not stack.
    • When at Near Death status, power is increased by 100% for 5 seconds.
    • When in a party with someone you have not been in a party with before, there is a 50% chance to receive a random treasure.
    • When on fire, 50% chance to gain a stack of Dehydration. Dehydration increases your regeneration and incoming healing bonus by 150%, and decreases your movement speed, critical chance, and recovery by 10%. Stacks up to 3 times.
    • On encounter use, 5% chance for a random item in your inventory to become Bound to Slot. While bound, this item cannot be moved or consumed. This effect lasts 1 hour.
    • On at-will use, 10% chance to gain 10% damage for 10 seconds. This effect also decreases your size and attack range by 20%. This effect stacks up to 5 times.

Let's not limit ourselves to companions, shall we?

You have a chance before using an encounter power to replace it with the power of a different class for up to 5 minutes.
    Chaos Magic Armor Enchant:

After entering combat, you have a random chance to replace any one of your class features with the class feature of a different class. Duration of the swap is 5 minutes.

Paladin Feat: Oath of the Generous
Description: Your god instills divine strength in you as a reward for helping those in need in their desperate hour.

(Translation: Your damage is increased by 50%, but any items or rewards picked up in dungeons/raids/skirmishes are randomly distributed to other party members. Only works inside dungeons/raids/skirmishes.)

Helm of shock: Each attack builds a stack of shock. At 10 stacks the helmet will release a large electrical attack to your nearest target consuming 1 of the stack. The lighting will chain to the next closest ally, enemy, companion or the player and this continues until all 10 stacks are consumed. Each stack does 250% of the player weapon damage. If there is no enemy in sight the player will be shock by all 10 stacks in one burst hit.

Armor of Max DPS: You are a true glass cannon in all sense. This armor reduces all defense stats (including HP) to zero and convert all of those into a damage multiplier. Equipping this armor will result in instant and non-reviving death. "You know without me you cannot top the Paingiver charts, so stop thinking about it and put me on"

Power Glove: Looks like Nintendo Power Glove from the 80's and when equipped the character is able to Summon nintendo character to fight at his or her side.

Meatloaf (the singer) - this companion sings "I will do anything for love but I won't do that" and when he sings enemies within hearing distance have their defense reduce by 10% and player damage is reduced by 10%.

    lul

copyright issues aside, that is a LOT of characters for the devs to code in... I doubt they'd have the time, considering their busy work schedule as mandated by Hasbro.

Since it is US Football Season, here are some football companions.

Cleveland Browns: Summons a Cleveland Brown QB's to throw footballs at your enemies. If one hits (and that is a big if) it instantly kills your target and you are awarded a Legendary Mount of your choice. The problem is the QB ability to hit a target has a lower odd than you pulling a legendary mount out of a LB. When there is more than 4 enemies within 10', this companion dies.

Bengals Tiger: Summons a Bengals tiger and like Bengals Football team the this companion tends to bungle. Every 10 seconds the companion will cause a knockdown effect to nearby allies; this increase enemies damage by 10%.

Steel Curtain: This companion will pounce and attack your enemies. Because this companion plays dirty, he will hit on occasion hit an ally for 250% of your weapon damage.

Dirty Birds: Does the same thing as Steel Curtain

Patriots: This companion is known for his ability to get results done, he provides his owner 10% damage increase; however, he is caught 25% of the time and to get free he will attack his owner if needed. When caught, the owner takes 250% of their weapon damage.

Buffalo: This companion look intimidating and provides an increase in threat to its owner 10%. However, after 5 seconds in battle enemies realize there is no threat and quickly seek alternative targets.

The 49er: This companion will help you do, well nothing. He looks good though.

GWF Feat. You steal your party's power and you triple it leaving your group with no power at all.

GWF Feat. You steal your party's power and you triple it leaving your group with no power at all.

GWF Steely Defense: GWF now share with allies 100% of his or her defense as power at the cost of 50% of their defense.

CW Steal Time Encounter: When in Mastery and when you have 5 arcane stack you freeze everyone except yourself for 10 seconds where you get to attack enemies freely.

TR Stealth: When in stealth TR instant kill low level mobs and do 5x the damage enemies that are not instantly killed. (this does not work in PVP)

GF: Marked targets that are hit by GWF count towards GF damage on the paingiver.

GF ITF Encounter: only buffs the GF now

Terrifying Insight: Damage buff is now only for DC and is 40%.

All buffs in the game now are self buffs and no longer group buffs.

    Companion: Baby Rogue
Active bonus: If you are a Trickster Rogue you have 10% higher chance of getting invited to a queue group.
    Companion: Rogue Wannabe

Pot of Gold when summoned decreases movement speed by 50% and grants the player a 100% chance at getting a Legendary Mount in the next LB. Once the LB is opened and Mount is granted, Pot of Gold companion is removes the summoned Active Companion Slot never allow the player to have out a summoned companion again.

This companion can only be purchased through the Zen store and never goes on sale. It is always epic and priced as an epic companion.

It's only costs your soul! - When you don't have enough stamina, you can use twice the percentage of your max. HP to use shift effect. Your max. HP slowly generates back if your shift is not used.

That might be too useful :D

Sorry, I left out some of the context. The damage is dealt directly to your HP. So you would be taking +50k damage every sure strike. You would instantly remove Anointed Army from yourself with a single at-will, and it would force you to build HP just to survive your own burst damage, since if you ever deal more than about 3 to 5 million damage in a single hit, you one-shot yourself. Think about Illusionist's Gambit reflection, and then pretend it's just always on. Good Luck.

You actually expect Instigators to even deal 50k Sure Strikes, even with a full buff team?

The synergy he saw was that your own damage would build massive determination from hitting yourself, as well as instantly stacking the instigator buff. I think the main flaw in the plan would likely be the lack of Focused Destroyer, and Executioner's Style. Other than that, they would have everything else a normal Destroyer GWF did (unless Destroyer's Purpose somehow is a bigger buff than the instigator buff). And I think the whole idea would be for trash clearing anyways, since it would stack the capstone instantly instead of requiring determination.... matters not if you kill yourself instantly though.

Then it's a no for every single class in every single context, you can't take the risk. I assumed it would not bypass resistance and all buffs, allowing me to mitigate. Anyway your value is way too high.

It's been a while I hope to get some self-damaging power to make Instigator viable. But hell it would require an expensive build.

Unfortunately the last feats don't allow Instigator to be in par with Destroyer even with full stacks, but it would be fun. I mean, since Flaming jams on GWF and Instigator doesn't require to use Unstoppable, I would give a try at some funny Wrathful Determination with IBS/DS/HD Flaming build. I believe it would deal quite a lot of damages, not on par with Destroyer tho.
